  1. It would be a quad 4 win though. That wouldn't move the needle at all. We certainly wouldn't be an any better position toward the tournament having another quad 4 win.
  2. Definitely not seeing what you’re seeing here. It may not be the best conference like it’s been recently but the strength of the conference is the only thing keeping our tourney chances alive.
  3. Oh I don’t know, maybe saying we got homered at home (so it was the refs) but yet nobody is saying it was only the refs? So to answer your question, I got THAT from the post by reading the post.
  4. Good lord man. We missed 2 absolute bunny layups at the end of the first half. There were several no calls against us on Davis that could have been an and1 and on our last possession out of a timeout we drew up pretty much nothing at all. We were 5-18 from 3. You’re upset. We lost a game we had to have. I get it. But it wasn’t the refs.
  5. So it wasn’t the refs but it was the refs? Hah. Got it.
  6. I watched the whole damn game. ThInking the refs cost us this game is as weak minded as this team is.
  7. Sheesh the amount of blame on the refs makes this fanbase just embarrassing.
  8. The only thing unpredictable about this was that we didn’t let them run away with a 15 point win. At least I won some money. This team and program is so mentally weak it’s scary.
  9. How about those 2 missed bunny layups at the end of the 1st half? Might we just suck?
  10. I would have been fine with that too. The two leagues being the same is what makes the most sense. But in reality, in this day and age, the game needs hitters, not pitchers hitting. The irony there is that the game has evolved to where you can keep your spot in the lineup if you hit .180 as long as you hit 40 home runs. I'll also never for the life of me understand why MLB pitchers are so collectively bad at hitting. I don't expect them to be one of the best hitters on the team, but it amazes me just how many MLB pitchers are just completely inept in the batter's box.
  11. I have one of the more negative outlooks on the rest of the season, I'm sure, but I'm convinced we'll have a higher (or would it be lower?) seed number next to our name come March b/c I think we'll be something like a #2 or #3 seed....in the NIT.
  12. ND now only 6 spots from being a quad 1 win for us.
  13. Mental toughness. Barely exists. We will win Maryland at home and that’s it. 17-13 or so I suppose. 8-12 in conference. And we’ll say this more than talented enough team needs a talent infusion.
  14. Me too. Though a part of me did enjoy the additional strategy involved in a pitcher hitting, I think this is long overdue and what is best for the sport. I can't think of any other sport where all teams are competing on the same level, same field, and for the same prize, but there is one drastically different rule between the 2 conferences making up the league.
  15. My biggest fear come March isn't whether we get in or not, it's Purdue and Kentucky being on opposite sides of the bracket. B/c that's not at all an inconceivable national championship game.
  16. Man I can't remember the last time I watched Michigan play this well. It's probably been since like very specifically Sunday, January 23rd from about 11am to 1pm CST, but again, it's tough to remember.
  17. Wooooo boy....I don't know about this one. What time could they realistically have gotten home? 2am Bloomington time? If coach had the 6 guys who played last night up at 4-5am running stairs at assembly, he better lift the suspensions b/c we likely have 3-4 more injuries now.
  18. Of course, which is why I said they need to get to proving it right then and there. And to be clear, I don't think anybody needs to address anything publicly. But within the locker room I would think something needs to be said. It's certainly admirable for their actions to speak louder than their words, but it sure would seem weird to me if I was one of the guys who played last night to not hear any acknowledgement of and apology for screwing up from those 5 teammates. And if I were one of the 5, I'd want to vocally own it and apologize (though a key part of my message would be to make it known that my actions will be speaking louder than these words). Maybe that's just me.
  19. It would have been incredibly interesting to be a fly on the wall in the locker room after the game last night. This whole thing could go so many different ways. If the 5 players just simply take their suspension in stride and try to move on, it's hard to imagine there won't be a divide amongst the team. If that happens, we may see some guys not make it to the end of the season. Hell this is both Durr and Stewart's second suspension, right? Now, did TJD or Race or whoever actually played last night, speak up and get into these guys about how much they let them down so it wasn't just the coaches? I wouldn't have any issues if they did, but my hope is that didn't have or need to happen. My hope is this.....at some point yesterday, maybe even right in that locker room after the game, each one of those 5 stood up in front of the guys who played last night and the staff and owned their mistake, profusely apologized, acknowledged this loss is on them, and said whatever they felt they needed to say to get their teammates to trust them and openly welcome them back....then of course they better have started right then and there proving it. Even after sleeping on it, there's nothing anybody can say that will convince me we won't lose the next 3 games and limp to the finish line. But if my "hope" of a scenario happened, that may be the catalyst for change, and even give us a fighter's chance to actually win the next 3.
  20. Oh it most definitely means something as it relates to this team. It means a lot as it relates to this team.
  21. Buckle up for a 5 game losing streak and a few weeks of the first four/next four out life…
  22. Betting they hit both FTs and a 3 here…
  23. Sames. In other words, it's (any) gameday.
  24. Looks like I'm the negative Nancy here b/c I'm seeing 12-8. Mainly b/c this team still hasn't shown any ability to keep momentum so I don't see any sustained winning streak regardless of how these games were lined up. Lose tonight I'll make it 8-12.
  25. Oregon is interesting here. What is it your system doesn't like about them? I haven't paid much attention to Pac 12 hoops this season but it seemed like Oregon was turning it on lately and a quick check of their schedule shows they've won 9 out of 10. Top 50 NET ranking and a 5-5 quad 1/2 record. Seems interesting they're sliding down when they seem to be improving, no?
