  1. Of course the in-laws want to come over this weekend to do Christmas shopping..... really hope I can stay home to watch the game lol. Hope the Hoosiers can continue to get better and keep bringing those W’s. However, I would prefer something more than a 1 or 2 point win lol. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  2. Congrats!!! Greatest thing in my life are my wife and son, mean the world to me. Love everything about being a dad, and also love knowing I'm raising another die-hard IU fan :)
  3. Thanks for the link. Just feel terrible for Race and Jerome. Hard to think what this team would be like if both of them were 100% this season. Get well soon guys!
  4. Good to see ya man! Hope you’ve been well! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. Just really wish we would be talking about who will be the new OC. Don't get why he is still around.
  6. I rewatched the game (as I normally do when nothing is on the TV....lol), but tried to make it a point to watch moments of him behind the bench when IU scored. You could tell he loved every bit of it and was really into the game. One of my all time favorites for sure!
  7. Happy about my Cards getting Goldschmidt. Gave up good prospects that didn't have value at this time. Would like to see the Cards go all out for Harper, but I don't care if he signs (just want to see the Cards really put forth the effort). My main concern is getting rid of Fowler. Please find a way to trade/rid him. He needs a fresh start elsewhere. If the Cards can find a solid bullpen, that would help the most. Cards were good enough for the playoffs except their bullpen. Doesn't help that Ozuna had a bum shoulder all season. Can't understate the value of getting rid of Mabry as the hitting coach. He was terrible, and can't wait to see our new guy from the Astros get to work.
  8. Thanks guys. I miss you all, even all the mean banter :) lol. To be honest, I just don't get on the computer/web much with the kiddo now. Look forward to posting a little more, always enjoy talking with you crazy people!
  9. Huge get for IU, and continues to show Archie really focusing on the state. Shows Romeo wasn’t just luck, Archie is getting top players in the state to stay home. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. Seems like IU is in great position right now (anything can happen), but getting Trace you would think puts us in the driver’s seat. I doubt Romeo stays another year, but could you imagine having Trace, Brooks, Phinisee, and Romeo all together..... that would be amazing! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. Loved the fight the Hoosiers showed in this game (just a fun back and forth battle all game). I’ve been critical of Justin Smith this season because I expected him to be a major contributor, but he played a good game. I feel he is the missing piece to elevating this team right now. If he can turn it on, we may have a top 2 or 3 trio of any team in the country with Juwan and Romeo. Team still needs to grow a lot on offense, but love the fight in this team. It’s nice getting to really enjoy IU games again (did last year as well, just love the brand of ball Archie brings). Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  12. Very well put. Let's not forget the flashes both Jones and Green displayed last season. Both will be stars, and without JBJ, we are in really good shape with what we bring back in 4 guards (Green, Jones, Newkirk, and presumably RoJo). Morgan, Hartman, and Smith will be a good trio at the 3/4 spot, with RoJo able to fill in at the 3 if needed because of his defense. The main hole is depth at he 5 spot. Davis is a very talented big man, but can't play every second along with with being foul prone. I have a lot of faith next season, but also understand there will be some limitations. 13. Miller did the right thing recruiting the commits. While Crean recruited them, they committed to IU. While Miller may have to tell a few current scholarship players to take a hike, but his first job was to keep everything together, and he did that. To compare him to Crean is ridiculous. The worst thing he could have done is come in and tell people they weren't good enough (meaning recruits and current players). That would have sent multiple players packing that he really needed to stay if he sent that message. He did the right thing, and there's no debating that! 14. Unfortunately recruiting the state slowly went away from being a focus. Unfortunate when recruits will admit that. Not saying the old staff didn't try, but seems they didn't try hard enough. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. No, I've made a couple here and there, but not much. Thanks for the kind words. Missed talking with everyone! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Really good take, and I could see Archie being in the middle of those two thoughts. I think he has a game plan, but is uncertain how everything will play out with JBJ, Bryant, and RoJo. It's hard for anyone to predict even though we have a good idea of what the players should do based on what we saw this entire season(s). If all three come back, and then we lose players like Gelon and McSwain, we could be a top 10 team. There was no excuse not to be a top 25 team last year........ A lot of possibilities, but could end up being a top year if all things fall into place :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. It's going to get very interesting if some of the NBA hopefuls come back, and then we have two oversigned (assuming Moore stays on). The likely guys would be two of Gelon, Priller, and McSwain. So many potenial questions and scenarios that are easy to talk about, but hard to truly know at this point. Which is what is great about message boards :) I do like our recruiting class, regardless of rank. I think it will be a good building foundation for Coach Miller, and then get the top recruits in 2018 and beyong. What's not to love about having experiences sophs+ with top rate freshmen!?
  18. I would think Bruiser with all the experience he has as a head coach (Drexel esp), but who knows. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. Hey guys, missed chatting with you crazy peeps. Little boob has been keeping me quite busy, but it's worth it. Already raising him right :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. Really excited about this coaching staff Archie has put together. Recruiting, in regards to locking down the state, will be great with this staff. Can't wait to see what they can do! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. Very excited to watch out ladies this year. Hopefully crack the top 25???? :) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  22. No real rumblings. Not his fault the front office won't help him. Matheny is an awesome dude and good manager. Starting pitching was supposed to be the biggest strength this year, but has been the weakest part of the team. Also doesn't help that the front office is enamored by the offense (one of the better ones in the NL), but is skewed. Helps when one game you score 15 runs, then can barely score 1 or 2 runs the next two games. The team needs a shake up, but it won't happen. Just hope and pray Carpenter and Peralta can get healthy, then the starters can get their heads out of their butts. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  23. I think it's time for a Jaybob YouTube dance video! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. Love it! Felt bad because he was limited with his shoulder. Hope offseason surgery fixed that and he is 100% Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  25. No I agree, that shouldn't be a problem, but Bellarmine didn't surprise me by keeping close. That's all :)
