Agreed. In one word IU fans want fighters and shooters not dependent on their ranking, then now people want to dismiss this kid because he isn’t good enough. Not bashing or poking at the posters here, but just saying IU fans right now are similar to the basketball team, up and down not knowing what’s going to happen every day. I know it’s frustrating, but I do hope and encourage everyone to just support this team like crazy. Trust me, I almost turned off the game numerous times yesterday, but this program is what it is right now and we need to support this team. I’m not happy being in the NIT, but we need to let Archie grow as a coach and build this team. This was a flawed team that battled so many injuries. The 1-12 stretch is unacceptable, but it could have been way worse with the way everything was trending. Archie will be under the microscope more these next two years, and after year 4 is when he will likely be ousted if they don’t make the tournament the next two. Coaches need 4 years to be truly evaluated entirely. The issue I have is with Glass/Administration. I think they want someone who doesn’t have an ego so that basketball won’t be bigger than anything else. I think they do want IU to be successful, but only by their way or it’s the highway, which holds this program back. I’m very hopeful Archie is the guy, but we will have to see these next two years. Well everyone, this season has finally come to a close. I love my Hoosiers and I watch them every game, but I’m sure glad this season is over. I’m cautiously optimistic about this team going into next season, because I do worry about the same inconsistencies with who is still on the roster. It will be one of the most watched IU off seasons I can remember because everyone will be closely watching who stays and who goes. I think obvious candidates to transfer out are Smith and Moore (I like Moore, just wasn’t ready for this system), but it’s hard to tell right now what will happen. Plus, while it seems an almost definite Romeo is gone, crazier things have happened. With the way this season went, I can see this being a crazy off season. There’s been speculation of a grad transfer already planning on coming here or IU is being closely considered. I hope players stay who buy into this program and give effort every single day, and that the coaching staff gets rid of those who show the complete opposite. Players can’t be allowed to just sleepwalk through games anymore. This season was very telling of which players shows up half the time, or who was really bought in. My wish is for this program to get the right players that give it their all and take IU to a consistent top 5 team in the Big10 that competes for titles and banners! This would be awesome, and makes sense as there’s been a few things floating around about names popping up that are very familiar to IU. Would be a very good complement at the 5 from the bench with Davis slotted there for the time being. Not to stir this thread, but if true with two years of availability, then Moore becomes the odd man out IMO. Also, if TJD and Thompson move as the first 2 at the 4, then that bumps out Smit too. I know, it’s been madness so much this season. If one person makes a 3, then it seems like the entire roster goes hunting for the 3-Ball. I agree, this team is much more successful when they attack inside-out. I would love to see the 3-point % this team has when the shot comes from a kick out! Texas is in a battle right now, down 1 with 8:30 left. Come on South Dakota St. Creighton up 8 with less than 8 on Loyola. Arkansas up 13 with 10 mins left. NC State, Lipscomb, UNC-Greensboro, Clemson, Memphis, and IU winners so far today.

Definitely a tale of two halves. You could see IU got complacent in the first half after starting to get ahead, and it just snowballed the rest of the 1st. Wasn't thrilled to see how the 1st half played out, but I wasn't surprised because I felt IU would start slow trying to get into the game (what we've become accustomed too). Would just like to see Anderson hit one three pointer, and I bet it's game on from there. The outcome was as expected, great job Hoosiers. Hope they make more free throws and bunnies next time out :)

Well said. I think it might be wise for Romeo to sit tonight, only because him being day-to-day and I would rather have him full strength for the other games. Ha e him ready to go tonight if able, but don’t use him unless needed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
