Only thing I worry about is going all in one one recruit and missing like we did with Brooks. We need a big guy so unless there was writing on the wall with IU not getting a chance with Loveday, I just hate putting all our chips in only one basket. Every season you can look at the schedule and say, we should be right around here as the season ends....... but this season...... it’s extremely hard to predict. Season record: 22-9 regular season. 1-1 BTT Record 1-1 NCAA Tourney Overall: 24-11 I see us getting some road games this year with some of the teams being really down, and having confidence in this team as the season goes along. However, we could easily go into selection Sunday 19-14 if we don’t handle road games against the bottom teams. I do see us getting swept by MSU, they will want to rock us badly. While I have agreed with all your points in these pages long argument with the others lol, but the offensive line did struggle with a good push for the run game. While Penix got out in some space, that’s different for our RBs. Scott had trouble getting good lanes that had space. Of course BSU tried to take away the running game, it could have been better. Like everyone else, I was disappointed with our missed tackles and dropped passes. If those were not an issue, we would be talking about a much bigger win than what we are. Instead of a 10 point win, we win easily by 20. I like the potential of this team, because it is there. It’s more evident with their the offense, but this team has a chance to go bowling. Also, love Whitehead and Justus, those are two underrated players that can help us win games!! Penix also showed why he’s the starter with that potential. He will continue to have mistakes this season, but will get better and grow obviously. Very talented player that will run a lethal offense in his career. While umpires make errors, I hate the idea of an automated strike zone. As a coach of the game players are becoming self-entitled babies with the strike zone. How many good strikes do players watch, and then argue at a borderline pitch that can go either way. Sorry, no sympathy here. Baseball has too many changes that people want to make. Some are great, but making everything automated will take so much away from this game imo. I will still watch baseball if it happens, but I love the umpires making the calls!
