I get people being frustrated for not making the NCAA Tournament, I am one of them, but we should still support the team. Archie is only in year two, dealt with countless injuries, player issues, and players who were recruited for a completely different system. Next year has a lot of question marks, but there should be an NCCA Tournament bid. Anyway, can’t wait to watch the Hoosiers tomorrow, and as long as they show up, should win their first two rounds! Look forward to making a run and hopefully win the NIT. If we lay an egg this site and social media will be a mess. It’s time for IU to prove itself that the OSU game was a complete off-game and the last 4 of the regular season was the actual trend. For argument sake let’s say everyone returns except Romeo. To me, the two biggest question marks will be Smith and Hunter. If Smith can be the player of MSU and Wisconsin, or at least 3/4ths of that, then we are in really good shape. If Hunter comes back 100% with plenty of off-season practice, then that will greatly elevate this team. If all of this happens, I see the starting lineup being tough to decide between 6 players: Rob Durham Hunter/Smith TJD/Smith Davis/TJD Who knows, Green could also force his way into the starting lineup playing the way he did at the end of the season. Don’t forget his parents and family were pushing him to UK. It’s been rumored from very credible sources Keion loved IU and wanted to go, but his parents kept pushing UK. I think our bad stretch and what surrounded it pushed everything to UK. I can’t blame him at all for choosing UK. They are a much better program than we are by far, just hope IU can get there with Archie. Coach Miller has a minimum of 2 years left, and hope people will support the program than being constantly negative. Trust me, I have my worries and concerns, and do voice them, but not at the sacrifice of my love for IU. I get that, but you can’t put that all on Archie. Like I said, this year underachieved, but he also had an INSANE amount of injuries. Hunter didn’t play all season, Phinisee was hurt and coincided with our 1-12 stretch, Davis and Green being hurt/suspended, and Race and McRoberts being hurt most of the year. We saw how important Rob and DeRon were to this team. I’m just as ticked as any IU fan about how our program has went the last 30+ years. It absolutely sucks, but I also recognize that this season was ridiculous in so many ways that couldn’t be helped. I don’t know if Archie is the right person for the job, but he CAN coach and recruit, and it will get better. I hope it’s back to NCAA Titles, but he will get us back into the tournament every year. Sucks not to get Brooks, but wish him best of luck except if facing IU in the NCAA Tournament and with a national title on the line :) I don’t get people saying Archie is awful in recruiting. He got top in-state talent the last two years, but just missed on this one. He’s proven to stay with other top coaches, and that shows A LOT since he’s had a short window in recruiting at IU. IU will be just fine. The only thing I was a little discouraged with what Brooks said was about style of play. Idk if anyone else picked this out, but he said Coach Cal (I almost puked even typing that) doesn’t restrict his offense and let’s his players play. That could have been what sold UK, because Coach Miller runs a certain style offense. I get it, it sucks and some want to make every excuse on why we didn’t get him. We won’t get every recruit, but what matters the most is Coach Millers gets some of the top talent around and is close to landing the other top talent that doesn’t come here. That shows his commitment to recruiting top players to take this program to the top. Instead of sulking in the pits of misery, let’s support this program! Bad seasons happen and this was an underachieving one, no way around it, but programs have bad or disappointing seasons. We will be just fine, and Coach Miller deserves another year IMO before being on the hot seat. Everyone take a breathe and let’s focus on remaining 2019 recruits and grad transfers! I think it’s awesome that AF and TDJ are going to the announcement, but I would caution to not get too excited. It could mean everything, but with everything being so closely kept, why would they tell people they are going if it would tip off where he was picking? No being a Debbie-Downer, but I think it’s being overplayed that they are going. However, us fans love picking out these things as hopefuls. I really hope we get Brooks, it would be incredible, but no reason to fault him for picking UK if he feels it’s better for him. I know a guy who might add a 5th :) At the bank I work at, we have two TVs with cable boxes, but NO Big10Network.......! So I might be in my office for a random 2 hour lunch meeting :) I can’t wait for the game, and hope to see the same Hoosier team as of late. This team has given us hope for this season and after with Coach Miller leading the charge. We have a healthy Rob and DeRon in this game, along with a team that is playing hard and for each other. IU really needs to work through JMo to get Wesson out of the game. As long as Rob and Devonte keep Jackson in check with our bigs going after Wesson, IU’s got this! I agree it’s a huge miss, but we also have to understand we won’t get every top recruit from the state of Indiana. If we missed on Romeo and Trayce, then I would be worried about missing Keion (if we do). It will suck not to get him, but IU is in on good 2019 options that are 4* recruits. I don't know if only one more win will do it, but we do have one thing in our favor, college basketball IS talking about IU. I do think having hype and coming on very strong late with so many Quad 1 wins really plays into our favor. Plus, if we lose to MSU and it's a 2 or 3 point game, I think that will be in our favor as well to some degree. Regardless, IU really needs to win 2 in the BTT to coming close to securing an NCAA Tourney bid.

Great job by our Hoosiers again, and hope they continue to play like this. While Devonte forced some shots (luckily they went in), I felt our offense looked really good against a team that gets physical. IU is playing their best basketball at the right now, just wish they were able to get a few of those close losses back: two against Iowa, Purdue, Ohio St., Maryland, etc. IU is playing for their NCAA tournament lives, and really hope to get two wins in the cursed BTT. If we get two I think IU is for sure in, and getting just 1 puts IU leaning to the NIT. Either way, I'm extremely proud with how this team responded after such a terrible stretch. Definitely gives most of Hoosier Nation a lot of optimism for the future. It's just great that this team is now 8 deep, with hopefully McRoberts getting healthier to make it 9. Just wish we had Rob and DeRon healthy for this season!

Does Purdue's Edwards, and the Purdue staff in general, not understand when he jacks up shots it makes them awful? I love seeing Purdue lose, but when they share the ball they are such a hard team to beat. When Edwards gets selfish, they suck.

As much as I would love for our Hoosiers to go dancing, I only see us in the NIT. I’m still very hopefully because when the team plays like this they can compete with anyone. I think IU wins against Rutgers and one more in the BTT, but I don’t think we will win at Illinois. Hate saying that, but Illinois is just a bad matchup for us ImO. We can be a very careless team, and if we don’t play focused, we will have 20+ turnovers. I’m hoping for the best, just expecting the NIT. Agreed. If our guards take care of the ball, IU will have a big advantage inside at Illinois. Really need Rob, Al, and Devonte to play smart and under control. Oh my Hoosiers! I’m really surprised they came away with the W, just because I felt MSU would have played out of their minds for a revenge game. We’ve been hrs on Smith and Green most of this season, but they deserve all the credit in this game for their performances. Of course we don’t expect that offensive scoring by Smith, but that’s the type of overall game we were expecting from him with the promise he showed as a Freshman. Couldn’t be happier for him! Green made some big buckets, but those shots he took are still the quick trigger ones he misses and we all get mad. Luckily they went in, but for me he played under control and with the flow of the game. When he does that, he’s an important piece to this team. Also, very pleased with the overall effort from our starters after the first 4 minutes of the game. Morgan and Durham seem to be giving their all, but look very tired. Phinisee was great all game, his defense overall was great. Winston was going to get his, and played like a 1st Team All-American. This is the team that we loved that was 12-2 (except those last couple games we started seeing regression). I’m not sure how I feel about Illinois, but they love the 3 and once they get tired, really struggle. I watched them at Purdue, once they got tired they were jacking up crazy shots. Time to get back in this to represent the greatest team ever, the St. Louis Cardinals. Suck it Scrubbies!!! :) Anyway, I’m not a fan of the DH, but I know it’s coming and have accepted it. Cards will be in position next year for it perfectly with Jose Martinez as the DH. He’s an awful fielder, but a really good hitter. If given a full season at DH, he would be around a .290avg, 20hrs, and 85rbis for sure. Guy knows how to hit, just can’t field lol. I’m excited for this season, and I might be one of the few Cards fans who didn’t want Harper. He’s a great talent, but a whiny brat who I feel is overhyped. Cards have 3 big question marks going into 2019: the health of Ozuna, Fowler, and DeJong. If they can stay healthy, this team has such a dangerous lineup. Anyway, can’t wait for the season to start. Very well said. I’m not a huge Dakich fan, but I don’t mind his commentary most of the time. However, let night was a little frustrating with the Hall of Calls crap. He never said a word in the first half about the calls, but complained the rest of the game about fouls because it barely favored IU.
