  2. '28 Landon Lampley scored 18 in the win over Darius Garland. He typically would be playing 17U but the Meanstreets 17U team is not in Fort Wayne. Andershock said it wasn't fair to the other team that he was playing 16U. Reported at 6'7" with a 6'10" wingspan. Told Raby that IU has been heavily involved with him.
  3. This is why I sure hope that we are adding some quality depth in those last three spots because if we aren’t, then our team is going to be dog tired at the end of the games like last season and I would bet that we finish middle of the pack or worse.
  4. I’m in Fort Wayne for soccer with my daughter. You think she will mind if I bailed on her and go to the Run N Slam. Kidding of course. @WayneFleekHoosieris Tequila Mexican restaurant any good?
  5. Today
  6. This is why I love college basketball. I hope they finally fall off and this should be the season for it. But I like Mayer, Benter, Cox. Jacobsen has big potential. Ertel just seems like one of those guys. West who didn’t play this year was quoted as being their leading scorer in scrimmages. Guys like Burgess that have been waiting their time. And a really competitive, smart coach. I don’t expect a Marquette like season for them this year but I hope for it.
  7. My critique on Dorn. Not a good enough athlete to play both sides of the ball in the Big Ten. Not much of a first step. He was the epitome of a streak shooter. Half of the ACC schedule is pretty soft. He could have solid numbers. He is senior, maybe with the 5for5 rule he could become solid scorer.
  8. I’ve been wrong about Purdue before and CJ Cox is a really good basketball player, but what they will basically be doing next season is taking their second team from last season and promoting it to starter status.
  9. From the Hensley Run 'N Slam - Jahari Miller (Pike HS) hit six 3's for 22 points in Indy Heat's 17U win over Ohio Champion. Isaiah Hill (Pike HS) had 10. Noah Washington (New Albany HS) led Indy Heat 16U to a 63-59 win over Ohio Champion. He mostly slashed to bucket, which allowed him to get a bunch of free throws. He finished with 18. '28 Cole Kelly (Nequa HS, Nequa, IL) 22p, 6r, 5a in a win over Indiana Jammers.
  10. https://barttorvik.com/trankpre.php Torviks first rankings are out, IU is at #25. Purdue 30, Iowa 42. St John’s all the way at 52 right now, Syracuse one spot above them.
  11. Kenna attends Lumen Christi HS in Jackson, MI. She plays AAU for Legends U on the Power 24 circuit. She was named Division 3 POY by the Michigan Sports Writers. Her high school is the reigning champion in its division. https://bluewaterhealthyliving.com/news/local-news/michigan/kenna-hunt-takes-over-for-lumen-christis-1st-mhsaa-girls-basketball-title/ Hudl
  12. In a game played at Wrigley Field, our Hoosiers took the weekend opener 9-2. Neubeck started and pitched 6 innings of 4-hit shutout ball. Vogel and Rivera closed it out limiting the Wildcats to 3 hits and 2 runs. We had 11 hits in thegame. Denny went 3-5 and Hanley 3-4. ten Oever who's been on a real tear was 2-3 and led the way with 3 RBI. Decker 2-4 with 2 RBI.
  13. Penn State really putting that money to good use.
  14. 5-8 combo guard from Jackson, Michigan. With the jumps Michigan and MSU have made in the past couple years, it seems as if it would be tough to beat them out -- but she's just a sophomore, so there's plenty of time.
  15. Women take the weekend opener 8-5 but it wasn't a piece of cake. Hooks started but never made it to the 2nd as Illinois scored 3 in its first at bat. We got 2 back in our 1st and then added 5 in our second with 4 coming on a Parker grand slam. Illinois picked up 2 more in its 5th and we added a run in the 7th. Troutt relieved Hooks and pitched the middle 5 innings before Hess closed out the 7th. We had a total of 7 hits and Parker had 4 RBI and Bird 3.
  16. Devin Williams (6'10", FAU) is a player that would really fit for IU. After he entered the portal he received interest from Kentucky, Arizona, and Syracuse -- but so far has not signed anywhere. 7.5 ppg and 5.2 rpg in 24 mpg; defensively he's a big rim protector -- averaged 2.6 blocks per game.

  18. I feel like this is similar to a fantasy football auction draft. Patience and you get a diamond for lower cost later in the draft. Or, I’m with my wife and her friends and I’m already drunk. Maybe both.
  19. Definitely has recruiting chops. Suppose it would depend on what jobs open up next cycle but I think in the current environment Miami is probably a pretty good place to be. Place sells itself, has a ton of money, and conveniently located to some great talent. Very curious to watch and see how Lucas sets Dorn up for success (or not) next year. Interesting point on the Harris comparison for sure.
  20. I think Dorn will be solid. I think Dorn vs Harris will be an interesting comparison this season. They’ve got a nice roster in Miami. Will be interesting if Lucas pops for a bigger Job next cycle. Especially if he has another good season. I think he has the potential to be an elite recruiter.
  21. Surprised a bit. Better landing spot than I anticipated for him. He will probably do pretty well in that role on that team IMO.
  22. He was up and down. I thought he was going to stay and that would be good for depth, but he struggled a lot in the second half of the season to score
  23. Final ESPN '26 recruiting class rankings
  24. Nick Dorn to Miami. He’s the one i would have liked to keep. Not fretting it, but Miami is doing some nice work. This one was be curious to watch.
