  1. Past hour
  2. Might have been an either or thing.. or maybe they project one of McD, Johnson, or Jones to play inside. Or take all the talent and figure the rest out later.
  3. Yep and hopefully helps us with Caleb Johnson
  4. Really great to see this news on Twitter tonight. Huge get for Bostad and Cig. These are the in state kids we need staying home and choosing IUFB.
  5. Today
  6. Have developed such a hatred for the step in charge that I’d have been fine with Thompson laying Merrill out and then Merrill being called for a block.
  7. Makes you feel better to make sh#t up? I clearly do?? What kind of stupidity is that? It’s a top 3 portal haul that’s what it is. I said the good thing is we now have multiple players with 2 years of eligibility, you know so we can then build with existing players from recruiting and portal - that’s actually what I said. I also commented that we’re back at a full rebuild because of the way this past season’s team was constructed which is, obviously, not what we want to keep doing. Maybe have a beer or something so you can post without making sh%.t up
  8. I’m excited to see Trevor Manhertz get on the floor. He shot 42% from three, is 6'8" with a 7-foot wingspan, and can put the ball on the floor. If he adds some strength and bulks up, he has a chance to be a really intriguing player. Watching his film, it’s easy to see why programs like Louisville and Duke were so high on him.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Exactly how I’ve seen it. Needed a playable 4/5 and another combo guard that can play. Move Karvala, Manhertz, Sokolov to 11,12,13.
  11. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/article/indiana-basketball-recruiting-after-an-incredibly-dominant-weekend-elite-2028-7-foot-center-yann-kamagate-lands-an-indiana-scholarship-offer-285634901/ Tabby on Kamagate
  12. Two things can be true: 1. The overall talent level has been significantly upgraded 2. It’s still a horribly constructed roster. The core of this years roster is pretty darn good and if it stays healthy, we should win a fair amount of games. But the bench is a disaster. Zero playable big men and zero primary ball handlers. Our 6th and 7th man are massive question marks as neither have proven a thing and players 8-10 are all true freshman and complete unknowns. While the overall talent level is significantly better, we’re an injury away from potentially being worse than last year.
  13. Raby reports we have made it clear to Grivna that he has an IU offer. Raby indicates he thought an offer was extended to Grivna last summer at a team camp, but in any event, the staff made it clear this weekend that he does indeed have an IU offer. He attends Louisville Ballard HS and play AAU on the 3SSB circuit for Wildcat Select. We had at least 1 staff member at every one of this past weekend's 4 games. He participated in the 2026 Men's Junior National Team April minicamp in Indianapolis this past April. https://www.kentucky.com/sports/high-school/prep-basketball/article315709749.html @Mason_Grivna33 247 Hudl 2026 AAU stats Mason Grivna '29 - Wildcat Select Date Gms Pts FGM FGA 3PM 3PA FTM FTA Reb Ast Stl Blk Sessions I and II 8 20.1 73 103 6 10 9 19 8.0 0.5 0.5 3.0 Count/Avg 8 20.1 71% 60% 47% 8.0 0.5 0.5 3.0 HS 25-26 28 16.8 70% 47% 72% 9.2 na na na
  14. Yes. Both Harris and Mustaf had deep, prior connections to Kenny Johnson as he recruited both hard while at Georgetown. Staff wasn’t going to take a chance of getting the run around like last cycle and both players committed without taking other visits. Both were paid and paid well as we seemingly ran out of money after 6 players. We needed 7 or 8.
  15. DRtg factors almost entirely into the lineup around you. It’s extremely tough to have a poor DRtg when the entire team has a strong DRtg.
  16. I believe you’re wrong. Other teams, besides IU, spending where we are at are using lots of that money on returning players or freshmen. They’re not counted in the portal ratings because…. freshman and returning players are not in the portal. Also you can go up and down this thread and find comments from me saying I like the portal haul. I just don’t think “top 5 portal haul” means much because I don’t think it’s a proxy for overall roster construction, which you clearly do.
  17. PUke has won the cup as both their men's and women's teams finished better than our teams in the outdoor track and field championships. Final score 10.5 to 9.5.
  18. There was a girls EYBL event in New Orleans this weekend and here's updated AAU stats for our IUWBB offers. 19. And the pitching is not bad. It’s just not elite like the hitting.
  20. Welcome to Shonda Stanton ball. Pitching would be a nice bonus to make even more noise going forward. However, IU has been an elite offense for years now with mediocre pitching and still plows into a regional every year so def don't 'need' it to get back, but more to contend to win one. However, how about appreciating a program that did very little for years being a postseason team now yearly. It would be great to break through and maybe win one but what coach has built is something to applaud. Its not something to criticize when a culture is built on a strong team bond with elite offenses and power that often requires winning shootouts. It works and wins 40+ games a year and gets to postseason always. Great pitching needs to be treated as a bonus. Not a baseline that is on the verge of imploding when its clearly not.
  21. I could see that, but I could also see it be fairly comparable too… maybe not but I can’t imagine we would pay that much for a player with quite a few limitations.
  22. We just simply did not have the pitching this season. Going to need some pitching we plan on making it to regionals again next season.
  23. Until I see a California kid to Indiana I’ll never believe it. Especially Compton Magic
  24. No idea what article you're referring to, but right now, it ain't lookin' good. PUke men and the PUke women both have leads over us in the T&F championships. If those leads hold up, PUke will win the competition outright for the first time since 2018.
  25. Complete apples to oranges comparison here, so almost even irrelevant numbers, but Harris' numbers last year at Duke would have ranked him on IU: 1st in DRtg 3rd in ORtg
