I will be the first to admit that my unfamiliarity with IUHockey.  Here's a link from the IDS (09/2014) w/a little more info about the two teams and why they are club sports.

 

As mentioned earlier, there is a Division II and a Division III team.  The DII squad plays more games and I presume the better squad (or at least plays against stiffer competition as they did have two D1 teams on their schedule, Robert Morris and Illionois). 

 

Maybe our #1creanapologist can chime in w/some add'l information as we familiarize ourselves w/this club sport.
