I was confused reading an article about an interview Crean did on ESPNU. The written article mentioned Crean talking about using a 3 guard lineup and then saying we need to be bigger and correct a physical shortfall we had this year.

When I listened to the interview, I heard something different. Crean mentioned it was important to be 2 deep at every position with little fall off when you sub.  He talked about using a 3 guard lineup to attack and not out of necessity.  I hope this means he might start 3 guards and willing to sub in a forward like Holt or Hartman to play with Bryant or Bielfeldt. I hope the 2 guard lineup is used more often. We will need our forwards to be able to shoot from outside and inside for Crean to use them with a post player.

I am hearing the things we hear every summer about players making big improvements.  Too many times we hear that only to discover very little change.  Bryant and Holt are reported to be shooting well away from the basket.  I saw Bryant make several 3's in the Derby Classic. I don't mind this as long as we have another player in the post that can score or rebound.

This, while Vonleh was accurate from deep there really wasn't anyone under the basket to rebound.  I don't mind bigs shooting out on the floor, it's necessary, but another 'big', Troy, and JBJ/RoJo attacking the offensive boards would be nice.
