IU Report Card/Season Grade/Teacher Comments

Recommended Posts

Alright Hoosier Nation, how would you grade IU's basketball season if you were filling out IU's report card and what teacher comments would you leave?

The grade scale is A--Excellent, B--Good, C--Average, D--Poor, F--Fail

I give IU a C.  We were Average.  I can't give us a D or an F because we outperformed preseason expectations (barely), made the NCAA tourney, and beat some good and ranked teams. We also had to overcome some preseason issues and some injuries with a relatively young team. I can't give us an A or B because of all the losses with 2 McDonald AA's on our roster and because of the second half of the season fade. We were just average and we all know IU must be better than average in the future.

Under teacher comments I would say areas of improvement are defense and citizenship and the offseason behavior must improve. I would also say we are not performing up to our potential and next year we must get our grade up to an A.

What's your thoughts?

I would say a C for overall team. Coaching is a D not because his team needed to play some haha but his coaching style still babbles me. Teachers comments: need defense and people to not be satisfied with being mediocre. Haven't liked some of the attitude of interviews of players being OK with losing

Overall C-.

A first round exit in the NCAA should be a minimal expectation for IU.

We had more talent than that. We also had very obvious gaps. So, I get it.

I would rather our rebuilding years be like this instead of our star PGs 3rd year.

Poised for a big year it appears. 2016 recruiting is the most important recruiting class in Crean's history.
