Hartman out with a torn ACL

Recommended Posts

Per CTC twitter..

Indiana University freshman men's basketball player Collin Hartman suffered an injury to his right knee during a workout Saturday. He will undergo further evaluation in the next 24 hours and is out indefinitely.

Indiana head coach Tom Crean on Hartman:

Collin Hartman planted his leg wrong in a drill and hurt his knee. The news is not good in that he has a torn ACL and we are waiting to make sure that's all. Collin has been practicing well and getting better. This is a setback for him. Collin has a strong future with us and his summer will take a different turn. He is in great hands with this medical staff. He will be evaluated more tomorrow. Keep him in your prayers."

Oh great, now we're really in trouble.  Oops, he never saw the court.

Seriously though, sucks for him.  He was never going to bring much this year, but I think he could be a solid contributor as a junior/senior if he gets the chance.

“Collin Hartman planted his leg wrong in a drill and hurt his knee,” he said. “The news is not good in that he has a torn ACL and we are waiting to make sure that’s all. Collin has been practicing well and getting better. This is a setback for him.”

Crean said that Hartman will be evaluated further on Sunday and that his summer will “take a different turn” in working with the medical staff.
