Yeah I knew he was writing and producing. His career of actually singing took a long hiatus, tonight has brought back memories of his music

He could make a good living just writing.  Truth be told a lot of artists don't write their own stuff.  He could also make some serious money just writing songs for movies, you can get 20 to 50 thousand dollars per song doing that and if the music director likes you you could have 5 or so songs in the film.
