Indiana Pacers 2.0

Recommended Posts

I do love the media running with the first three words out of Paul George's mouth on Lance Stephenson. Because you know reporting on the whole quote would make too much sense.

Media's reporting of the quote, PG: "I don't know." When asked about if he wants Lance back.

Actual Quote, PG: "I don't know. That is for Larry, Kevin, them to decide. It would be great, we came into the league together. It would be great for us to continue our journey together. But he has had a huge year this whole season and postseason. So it's definitely put pressure on us to make decisions going forward with Lance."

Right on! LS cannot be defined by the antics in those last few games; this season's body of work proves his ability. He did man-up in his postgame instagram message. I believe he will learn from this season and put it to use next season. Pacers would be doing themselves a disservice in moving him. But, maybe it's time to move up a notch in the point guard department, and yes, get RH a shrink.

Good. He had no business being fired. Yes, he is a little bullheaded, but he still is a good coach

The big question is to bring back Lance or not bring back Lance.  All of our other pieces are pretty much untradable.  I'd wager to say Turner and Scola are gone as well.

I'm kind of glad it's over to be honest with you.

Keep Lance. 86 Turner, MAYBE Scola, and attempt to either restructure George or trade him and make a run at a free agent PG.

I don't know how plausible this is, but on Pacers digest a guy ran a trade through the ESPN trade machine where the Pacer, Celtics, and T'wolves swing a 3 way trade that breaks down something like this.

Celtics get - Love and G. Hill

Wolves get - Hibbert and someone else from Celtics

Pacers get - Rondo and center from Wolves.

I wouldn't mind to see that at all, but Roy's trade value has got to be next to nothing now.

I like watching Rondo, but wouldn't want him on my team. Too many locker room issues in the past. Now, maybe if the TWolves get Rondo and we get Rubio I'd be on board :)

He's very young and still learning, so I think this is the right move.

He really needs to play the bench more next season. I don't want to see starters playing 40+ minutes a night in November again. And maybe the bench wouldn't suck every year if those guys actually got to play once in awhile?

Looks like Roy is open to a trade.

In the comment section, someone suggested Roy for Reggie Jackson, Perkins, and a pick. Maybe a pipedream, but I'd be more than happy with that.

You think we'd move GH to shooting guard? Or maybe the bench as Lance's back up. If my memory serves me correctly he did well in the off the bench role when we first got him. If we kept him at point guard that'd be a crowded point guard position with him, Jackson, and Watson.

I want to move Hill too lol, so I didn't take that into account. I'd play Hill behind Lance if I had to keep him, though. Someone else suggested Hill, Watson, and Roy for Westbrook and Perkins. I don't think he messed with contracts in that one.

I wouldn't be opposed to Reggie Jackson. Actually was hoping we might have drafted him in the draft he came out in. Plus Perkins dumb contract comes off the books after next year.

Perkins would be a good Rent-a-Center. And I think Jackson is just waiting for an opportunity to break out. I'd love for it to be in Indy.

Geez, old doober here that still loves this last regular season. Yes, post season play needs adjustment - can be done! Again, RH needs to Shrink-up. LS like Metta World (that supreme sage with great Pacer twitter advice) has Extreme Intensity and Skill running in those veins; living on the edge is baggage that comes with this intensity. There is too much Kravitz imitation showing up here. Taking a big chunk out of this team would be a setback that would have to playout for the next few years. As for speculating on potential trades, I suggest a new thread entitled, Pacer Pipe Dreams

I understand the disenchantment with ET, but Scola, my oh my, at least one more year.

Where is Dalton when you need him/her? Should be here whining about the whiners.
