Obviously I want the Pacers to get the one seed,but I hate the match ups that would bring.  As of now Atlanta has the 8 seed.  Atlanta has been house of horrors for the Pacers.  Also, 4/5 pairing is Chicago and Brooklyn.  Chicago is on fire right now and Brooklyn will be a tough playoff out due to their veterans. 

 

For now, whoever gets the 2 seed has an easier path to the ECF.  Charlotte is the 7  and the EC semis would hold the Toronto/Washington winner.  

 

God forbid we choke away the 1 seed, but if we do I think I've found the potential silver lining. 

 

There's also the possibility of playing the Knicks in the first round if they keep forgetting they suck for a few more weeks. I don't want that because most 8 seeds don't have a game-changer like Carmelo Anthony. 

 

I could seriously see the Pacers losing in the second round to the Bulls, but they have a history of wearing down in the playoffs due to a short bench and playing so hard every single game. 

 

Beyond that….man. It sure looked a lot less intimidating a month ago.

I have full trust in Bird to find a Pacer back there. I think there will be some talent around.

I wouldn't mind it, guy comes from a strong defensive system, and couldn't hurt our offense too much.

 

Speaking of offense, wouldn't be opposed to us seriously looking into hiring an offensive assistant this off-season, because yeah it has been sucking more often than not recently.
