Uhh dude I'm sorry! What the heck is YOUR PROBLEM?!?!

Jk. I didn't think about the obvious answer to my question. I guess I'm fried from homework.

listen friend...not trying to call you out...

just trying to help IU's standing...

if Purdue wins, then it helps IU in terms of conference standings...

without playing a game...

I love all of you.

uhh...yes...Purdue is below us, Minney is tied with us...what the hell is your problem?

Uhh....no.... Looks better on the resume if they win on the road and we beat them at home.  We take care of business Saturday and let me see........where would that put them.....Hmmmm........behind us?...... yep pretty sure it's behind us.  Why don't we call NASA, and have them run the math for us eh?

I hear ya...

but...

Minnesota wins this multi overtime game...on the road...then they gain a crap ton of confidence...

bad for Hoosiers...

but...if they lose...then they are in a 3 game spiral facing the Hoosiers...with their tales drooping...

so...

Lol guys, this argument could go on for hours. Both sides are technically right. It's just how you decide to look at it. What I do know is: AJ Hammons is a top 10 NBA pick if he so chooses. He hasn't fully commited to it yet, but he could dominate every game he plays in if he wanted to.

Yeah, I get what you're after on that.  Either way I think we are good on this one boys.  I saw some holes in their lineups and in that

2-3 I think we can exploit.  We got this, I'm calling it now.

It's actually a picture I took on my phone.  My uncle has the magazine framed in his basement mancave/IU Shrine.  Absolutely my favorite.

that pic was of him, his senior year at IU...and when they beat UK...UK being #1 at the time...

the irony of it all was that IU lost their opener to a nobody that they didn't expect to lose to...

that nobody was none other than Butler U...

Oh man I know!  The year prior to that was the one I thought we were gonna take it all.  I had just graduated H.S. and was soooo crushed after losing in the final 4, I didn't show to work for two days and was fired from my first ever real job.  Worked out ok because I ended up doing much better in school so there's that.

man...it's good to reminisce with IU fans that enjoyed the years when IU actually made waves...

these young dudes don't know what good basketball is...

no wonder they rush the court against Wisconsin...

I live in Madison, Wi.  Definitely took some crap for that one.  Their little baby streak against us got ended and you would not believe how they cried.  Priceless.

1st of all...I offer my condolences for living in Madison...

I guess the term "when Hell freezes over" is your reality...

2ndly...Bo don't know chit, his streak with IU became karma baby, as his losing streak with all others is catching up...

I'm asking this because all of us here being the Hoosier fans we are find ourselves in a tough spot this year. I'm worried for a few reasons.

1. We may or may not make the tournament. I know this has been covered on several threads, but the issue of not making the tournament is compounded by:

2. The fact that we are in danger of losing the greatest record in the history of college basketball not once, but twice. People are on here all the time lately talking about how we're not that important anymore as far as the rest of the country goes, and losing an undefeated record would further push IU into national blase.

3. Not speaking for myself personally, but it's a fact that a number of fans are growing increasingly frustrated with CTC, and if things keep going par for the course, it will only get worse. The booing at the game (again, covered in another thread), the countless posts of people yelling for his head, the strange substitutions...lots of folks are getting impatient, especially because:

4. Last year we should have had it. All the stars were aligned, all the proper voodoo rituals performed, everything was in the right place. And lo and behold, here we are.

Like it or not, we're in a real spot this year. We need to win some more games, bottom line. I'm just saying that I'm pretty damn worried about losing this undefeated record most of all. Thoughts?

Number 2 wont happen, especially twice because even if they would remain undefeated to the final game, one has to lose....BUT i dont think it will get that far.  Syracuse will lose sometime before tourney begins, in fact I think Boeheim would welcome it.  Shockers, shocking run thru that mid major, they will go down as well, wont make Sweet 16

1)  At this point I'd be pleasantly surprised to avoid the NIT.  Missing the tournament this season isn't going to throw me into panic mode.  I'm not worried about the current season's team anymore.  I'm worried about next season.  If Noah leaves, I'll get really nervous in a hurry and at this point I kind of expect that to happen.

2)  That is the last thing I'm worried about.  There is a reason nobody has done it since 1976.  Wichita State isn't going to be an undefeated national champion.  Syracuse looks pretty tough but I don't see them entering the NCAA tourney undefeated.  No team is above having that one bad night and with Cuse in the ACC, they will get a loss sooner or later.  Wake me up when a team enters the actual tournament undefeated and I might give it a thought.

3)  Coaches don't get fired because of message boards.  I think Fred Glass is firmly in his corner right now and the only thing that will endanger Crean is if the big money alums start applying pressure.  Overall I agree the fan base is increasingly divided about CTC being the guy but again, the common fan's opinion isn't creating much pressure one way or the other and empty seats in Assembly Hall is what will create greater concern compared to some boos over a bad lineup.

4)  We crapped the bad against Syracuse but would of, could of, should of.  Nobody is immune to getting upset in that tournament.  I think what hurt us the most last season was our bench didn't turn out to be as deep and talented as we hoped.

No matter how this season turns out, I think the larger concern is the 2014-15 team.  Two straight NIT caliber seasons would be very, very bad and sound some alarms.
