my worry is to whom it goes down to...

 

if it's Syracuse, fine; I have no problem whatsoever with that happening...

 

if it's Calipari at UK...then I will have to consider slashing wrists and carotid arteries.

There's a lot of basketball to play this season so I don't see the record being in jeopardy. Two modern factors will make it even more difficult to go undefeated:  conference tournaments and the expanded NCAA tournament. 

 

Personally, I am not worried that we won't get into the tournament because it really doesn't matter. The only consistent pattern with CTC teams the last three years is up and down execution resulting in some big wins and some confusing losses. He hasn't shown the skills to get a team to make a consistent run for an extended period of time. We might get into the tournament but our run will be short, . .  very short.

I agree with both of those points...

I'm just saying that if Cuse does manage to pull it off with their schedule, then I wouldn't be bitter towards them...

Syracuse plays at Duke soon enough, that will be the end of that streak. And as crazy as every season in the B1G is, when it comes to the B1G tourney, in Indy, who says we can't make a run at it with the home court advantage.

Yeah, if Syracuse makes it through the ACC undefeated, they deserve it.  I would love for this to be the first year we take the tournament.

Saw him limping back down the court.  He's probably going to be really sore after this game.  It also appears he has been trying to do a little too much the last few offensive possessions.

Doesn't look 100% just yet.  Not terribly worried though.  The UMIN defensive looks have kept them in games but, if we shoot decent against the zone I think we win by 10.

Am I the only one pulling for Minny? The better their record, the better beating them Saturday would look on our tourney resume if we did it.  Also, I'm hoping that if they win a big road game tonight that they will be liable for a letdown Saturday.

I'm always stoked for an IU basketball game.  Hopefully I'll be able to watch this one.  A win in the barn would be huge for a few reasons.  1)  Quality road win 2) Maybe separate us from Minny a little 3) Solid chance to get a win streak going (vs. PSU, @PU) 4) CONFIDENCE!

Gotta agree with that.  Certainly can't hurt us if Minn. pulls this one out.  Right now Purdonkey seems dead set on giving it away.  Should have won this twice already.
