Adreian Payne is doubtful for tomorrow

Michigan State senior forward Adreian Payne is likely to miss his fourth straight game with a right foot sprain Tuesday when No. 3 MSU hosts Indiana (7 p.m., ESPN), coach Tom Izzo said today at his weekly news conference.

 

Izzo said Payne is technically "day to day" but "I'd say doubtful for tomorrow."

 

"We're preparing like he's not playing," Izzo said of Payne. "And if we get him, it's a bonus."

Payne is doing some running early this week, and activity will be increased as he handles pain. A more likely return date for Payne is Saturday, when Michigan visits Breslin Center.

The will save Payne for the UM game. I would have thought they might get him in for 5-10 mins just to shake the rust however.
