Indiana's Remaining Schedule

Indiana is not a NCAA Tournament team, at least not right now. The Hoosiers great win over Wisconsin was just canceled out by the devastating loss to Northwestern at home. I went ahead and predicted the rest of the games, and think the Hoosiers are going to have to be AMAZING on the road to reach this mark and a possible NCAA birth.

I think the Hoosiers can end the season with 19 wins going into the Big Ten Tournament. At that point, they NEED to win atleast one game to be on the bubble, and most likely two games to feel a little more comfortable. The game we look back at the most might very well be the Overtime loss at Illinois. Should the Hoosiers pull that out it's a completely different picture at this point in Big Ten play.

Side Note: I know I have marked some games as wins that are Iffy at best, but these are the games I think Indiana NEEDS to win to get to the dance. What say you?

Some are iffy like you said but I wouldn't say they are out of the question.

I think it'll come down to the B1G tournament but ending in us just missing out.

Doing absolutely nothing in non-conference play is killing Indiana. Beating Wisconsin upgrades the Hoosiers' resumé to weak, and now that's ruined.

In my opinion, the only way Indiana gets in is if it beats Michigan State, Iowa, Ohio State, and Michigan while avoiding losses to everyone else. If the Hoosiers don't do that, they have to to win the conference tournament. They have A LOT of work to do, and no room for error.

I think that's a pretty fair assessment of the rest of the season, although the next two games are both going to be ugly.

I don't know what this team is going to do anymore. I was banking that NW game as a win and trying to predict the season, but obviously that didn't work out. I can't say with any certainty that we'll beat Nebraska or lose to Michigan. Who effing knows.

All I know is we have to play damn near perfect and can't have anymore Illinois or NW games. The beauty of the big ten is there is plenty of games where Indiana can play their way into the tournament. It's not going jt be easy, but id rather have a schedule where you have that opportunity.

Yep the opportunity is there for the taking. Somebody has to step up and be a leader for this group. The players have to be better and the coaches have to be better. Going to be a long tough grind to the finish line but the time is now.

I will say that I'm excited to see what Hollowell does coming back from his suspension. He will play at MSU. IM CONVINCED it was a 3 game suspension. You can see what other Hoosiers have done to receive their 3 game suspensions...

I'm also excited for Hollowell whenever he does return. I have a feeling he is going to end up having a nice season. If he plays like he did before his little timeout he will be right back where he's been the last 3 games.

Indiana needs him to come back and emerge as a consistent scorer. It also needs his size, defense, and rebounding. I'm excited to see what he does if he returns.

I don't even know what to think about that.  Crean just says "he'll play when he plays", of course he doesn't have to tell the media anything (and many of them are just vultures so I can't blame him).  I have a hard time believing it's just performance related though.  It doesn't send a good message to hold one player that accountable while Troy sucks out loud and still starts/gets good minutes.

What had happened to Devin Davis have I missed something? I know about the rumors but he has barely played as well.

He's only gotten a couple minutes in the last few games, total.  As I said I have a hard time believing it's just performance related.  If it was Troy should be glued next to them on the bench.

Yep have yo agree with you something had definitely happened. Never had a problem with Davis effort. I hear troys name in the starting lineup and one nice play a game but that's about it. I also don't get why davis still saw the court sparingly but Jeremy hasn't even taken his warmups off.

<br /><br />Crean said that it's simply Jeff Howard and Etherington earning the minutes over Davis in the B1G teleconference this morning. Howard did do a nice job on Crawford and Austin has been playing pretty well since he's gotten a boost in minutes, so I don't have any reason to believe otherwise. <br /><br /><br />Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Davis is being beaten out by Jeff Howard and Austin Etherington. All three have limitations, but two make fewer mistakes.

I will agree with 41 it is time to buck up or shut up and just deal with it. I agree with coach giving other players who normally don't get the chance the play get time to show what they have.

Troy has been seeing the floor less also.  His minutes haven't dropped like Hollowell's and Davis' have, but Troy's playing time has also dropped quite a bit.
