IU's Place in the BIG TEN

Recommended Posts

What's your take on where IU ends up in the big ten standings? To me, I say 5th, no lower than 6th.

1: Michigan State has a good team returning they're going to be very dangerous. Gary Harris is going to lead a deep Spartans team to a good run in BIG play

2: Ohio State comes in second because of the leadership they get from Craft and just the hard nose play we are all accustomed too from him

3: at third you get Michigan, back with half it's starting lineup, no Burke or Hardaway but a roster full with Final 4 experience they're going to be a tough out for many in the BIG

4: You have Wisconsin who rarely loses at home and always plays tough on the road. Bo Ryan always has his team ready for the grind of BIG play

5: And finally rounding out the top 5, our own Indiana Hoosiers. Young, inexperienced, but talent runs deep. Not to mention leadership from Ferrell and Sheehey I think many are underestimating the Hoosiers. Our youth will have us sitting in the 5th spot. I see us winning a couple big games at home and possibly sneaking one in on the road. A dangerous team come March, Coach Crean will have the boys ready!

1.  MSU

2. O$U/UM

3.O$U/UM - I lean toward O$U over UM, but those two flipping would not shock me at all.

4. Wisky/IU

5. Wisky/IU - The homer in me wants to say IU 4, but every year Bo Ryan pulls a top 4 finish out of his butt.

I would not sleep on Iowa.  I have a feeling they could make 4/5/6 a three way battle.
