Didn't think I'd like it,but not bad.

The Sam Adams Rebel Double IPA is one of the best alcohol bargains out there. +8% ABV and only $8 for a 6 pack. I tried this grapefruit IPA last week- pretty much same feeling as you had

It's a wee bit to assertive for my palate. If this is it?

That is it! That is my normal drinking beer- I generally like a super hopped bitter Double or Triple IPA as my treat beers (zombie dust, Arctic panzer wolf, hop slam, ruination). Have you tried Bell's Two Hearted? It's probably the most balanced, best all around beer I've run across- less ABV than a double, easier to drink. That being said, think I'll grab one from the fridge!

To be perfectly honest, I'm a rookie at this craft beer stuff, I've always drank Busch lite. They built a new schnuck's a couple miles up the road,I go every Friday afternoon and "build a six pack" from the craft beer rack. Still trying to figure it all out.

You can do both! Busch light is my mac n cheese beer- comfort beer that I can go to anytime. My next step was Bell's Best Brown, then started hitting IPA. You'll find your niche, whether it's hoppy or malty or something entirely different! Feel free to take a pic of the beer rack-we're happy to help give recommendations! Beer advocate is a site you may like, but I warn you, you may never be the same again, lol

Also completely opposite my last post.... The Orange Cream Soda beer is delicious... Both the Coney Island and the Henry's Hard Soda...

Had the Orange Cream Soda stuff a couple weeks ago when I went bowling. It was bad.

Great stuff guys.

I tried Schlafy Kolsch for the first time this week. Not bad, I highly recommend it for beer beginners and ones who don't like the beer aftertaste. This is very mild and light.

Had another Mirror Pond Pale Ale, very delicious. This one was on draft :)

I visited the Schlafly brewery last year- cool setup! I agree about the taste- none of their stuff is over the top taste wise, but good all around beer

Went to fourth Mikkeller bar in as many countries in the last 7 months today. Had a nice cherry sour aged in chardonnay barrels

Went to a Mikkeller bar in Copenhagen a few years back.

Although the best thing about that trip, was when we were in Copenhagen and we walked into a place selling pastries for some breakfast, but noticed that they had two beer taps, it was about 10am...we asked if it was too early for beer (being the Americans that we are) and the waitress said "...this is Denmark, it is never too early for beer."

I've been to the bar there in Copenhagen too. Went in July last summer. 2 in Copenhagen...one is with Warpig (Mikkeller/Three Floyd's collaboration)
