At Indiana, McDonald played in 36 games with 25 starts, including the last 23 games at left tackle. As a senior in 2011, he started all 12 games at left tackle and opened holes for the Hoosiers to rush for 1,374 yards in Big Ten Conference games, the team’s highest total since 2001. McDonald is originally from Indianapolis and attended Warren Central High School.
