I'm not as big of a Pacer fan as I am an IU fan, but I'm still a pretty big fan.

I'm sure those of you who are Pacer fans as well are as excited as I am about the upcoming season. I thought I'd go ahead and get a thread going for this year's team.

Larry Bird said he believes this team is built for the playoffs. I am sure this is true, but I still hope we can position ourselves well for as high a seed as possible in the playoffs. The last thing I want is to finish 2nd to the Bulls and end up as the 3 seed and possibly have to play two rounds in the playoffs without homecourt. They pulled it off last year, but the Knicks were a fraud of a two seed in my mind.

The rookie Solomon Jones has gotten a lot of run with the second unit in the two preseason games so far. I wonder if they're just looking to see what they have or if he is in the mix for some minutes.

They've been able to do a couple of different things with the second unit to give them some different looks. In the first game they had Mahinmi at the 5, Scola at the 4, and Jones at the 3. Today (in what little I saw) the had Scola at the 5, Copeland at the 4, and Jones at the 3. That second unit has been built to mix and match based on who they are playing.

Huge Pacers fan here. Been a fan since the early 90s...my childhood. These last 2 or 3 years have been fun but it's time to bring home some serious hardware in 13-14.

I was actually just talking about the pacers at lunch today. This team will be deadly if Granger can accept a lesser role than his ego probably wants to take... If that happens LOOK OUT!

After watching the Pacers/Bulls pre-season game last night it is obvious that anytime Rose gets into the lane this year a foul will automatically be called on the other team.

gotta love the Pacers! Every kid that grew up in Indiana should be a fan. I'm adding a new team to my 'fandom" , Orlando Magic. Yep, cuz of Vic. About time for me to order a shirt. It would be a blast to go to Orlando to see a game but its a pretty fair hike from Naples.

I won't mention the Heat!

I guess I'm the odd one. I grew up in indiana and can't stand the pacers haha
