What a fight! I'll be watching that replay for awhile.

That'll be in the convo for fight of the year. I've never seen a fight that goes from boring to great like that. Those last 3 rounds were insane.

Dang I can't believe I missed it. I actually got to watch the Shogun fight which was awesome. Watching Te Huna get KO'd made me yell, that was insane watching his body tighten up and fall.

I saw the 2nd and 3rd round of the Nam Pham fight. I haven't seen Pham fight, but dude is a scrapper, just not a champion caliber fighter.

Anyone seen this BKB (bare knuckle boxing) with the round ring and open knuckled gloves? Looks like American Gladiators, playground fights, and Las Vegas all in one. And yet, I can't stop watching it! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

WBC Names Manny Pacquiao Top Challenger to Floyd Mayweather, Could Force Mega-Bout.

It's rare to have something nice to say about boxing's sanctioning bodies, but the WBC may have taken a bold step forward in making the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao mega-bout a reality by naming Pacquiao the no. 1 contender to Mayweather's WBC welterweight title.

Far from altruistic, the WBC would be more than eager to sanction boxing's biggest bout ever and collect the 3% sanctioning fee from the highest combined purse in the sport's history. It may also be a move to dissuade Pacquiao from choosing a revenge bout with WBO welterweight champ, Timothy Bradley for his scheduled April 12 return date in Las Vegas.

Whatever the case, the move puts Team Mayweather in a bit of a bind.

With Pacquiao as his new mandatory challenger, Mayweather will have to eventually face Pacquiao or relinquish the most cherished belt in his possession. The five-division world champ has been WBC welterweight champ or WBC welterweight champion emeritus for much of the last seven years and has favored the organization throughout his career. As a top earner, Mayweather has also been allowed to come and go as he pleases by the WBC, always welcomed back to champion status at his discretion and on his own schedule.

More drama here....
