The channel Hardcore College Football History has quickly become one of my favorites on the history of this sport. The channel’s creator, Jon Johnston, is a Nebraska native and alumnus, and his knowledge of Nebraska football is second to none. His most recent video is about Jumbo Stiehm, UN’s coach from 1911-1915, and why he left Nebraska to come to IU.

It picks up on IU around the 11 minute mark. While Stiehm did not have the same success at IU, his early death at age 37 is one of the many “what if’s” in IUFB history, somewhat akin to being a Terry Hoeppner in the early 1920s.
