Jordyn attends MICDS in St. Louis, MO and played AAU for Missouri Phenom on the EYBL circuit 

 

The following is from the 05.27.25 St. Louis American:  

Girls basketball standout Jordyn Haywood of MICDS has been selected to the USA Basketball U16 National Team this weekend.

A talented 6’0” guard, Haywood was selected to the 12-player USA squad after four days of tryouts in Colorado Springs. The USA team will compete at the 2025 FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup from June 16-22 in Irapuato, Mexico.

Haywood just completed an outstanding freshman season at MICDS where she led the Rams to a Final Four berth in the Class 4 state tournament. She averaged 21.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 3.6 steals and 1.3 blocks. She was a Class 4 All-State selection and a member of the St. Louis American “Fab Five” All-Stars.

Haywood is rated the No. 1 player in the Class of 2028 by the website Prep Girls Hoops Missouri. During the grassroots season this spring and summer, Haywood is playing for the Missouri Phenom 17U EYBL team.

 

She subsequently helped the 2025 USA Women's U16 National Team win gold at the 2025 FIBA U16 Women's AmeriCup in Irapuato, Mexico. Averaged 7.2 points, 1.8 assists and 2.0 steals in six games off the bench.

Haywood's team was beaten in the Missouri 5A championship game 60-41 by Lift for Life.  No individual game stats have been posted for her last 2 games of the season.

27 game averages:  25.9p,  9.4,  2.0a,  2.3s,  2.1b,  2.8t        48% FG,  35% on 3s,  81% FT
