I have only watched the first few minutes but they said a MSU insider said nothing is a done deal. They said IU has a price they aren't willing to pay and if the price for Almond is correct it could  be 1.5 million. To me that is to high to pay for a high school player who isn't a top 10 player

Yeah, this doesn’t sound good. lol.  Michigan State outbid us according to Trilly.  These guys are clowning Indiana in this video for being broke.  (They are joking but still not the best look).

And we think we can get Diane without paying top dollar?

We ponied up for Wilkerson after Kentucky jumped.

Maybe we will do the same for some of these guys that are getting bigger bids.

I wouldn't be willing to pay 1.5 mil for Taylor or Almond. That is to much for guys ranked around 30

Who is Mr. Chuckles in the top left who just laughs and doesn't even speak until ~6 1/2 minutes into the video?

The market does what the market does.  That’s why the scout is so important.  And knowing what pieces are needed to win.  You are worth what someone is willing to pay.  Transfer portal guys asking ludicrous amounts too.  Carter thinks the offer is around a Million.  But he’s speculating.

Also Oregon throwing huge offers out.  Kentucky throwing huge offers out.  That sways the balance.  Big spenders set the market.  And there are a lot of big spenders.  Trickles down. Everyone needs players.

It's hard to know until we see him play if should have paid up to get him, or did MSU overpay and we can use the money more wisely elsewhere?

$1.5M does seem high for a freshman outside the top-10, but I don't know, maybe Izzo is right and he is worth it.

It's a boring approach, but often times all we can do is wait and see how it plays out next season.

He’s laughing at Carter at the bottom doing the stare because they know Ethan is a Spartan.  They said so at the end of the video.  They are just goofing around.

Some idiot and I think he is a W. Virginia fan. The one that is a MSU fan always tries to poke at IU fans especially Woodson

College basketball commitments plummet amid big changes in recruiting: 'Nobody knows what to do right now' - CBSSports.com https://share.google/liXFeq2kbEnGSf7Sr

Reading this I don't know how colleges can guarantee anything but revenue sharing right now. Any NIL can't be guaranteed because everything has to be approved by the clearing house. Most don't think they will approve a lot of NIL deals that reach big time money. So the coaches will have to find other ways to funnel money to the players
