EYBL has another event schedule this weekend in Kansas City but it is in NCAA designated Dead Period when no direct on or off-campus contact and no official or unofficial visits are permitted by coaching staffs.  But fear not.  Our very own @Demo has tentatively planned to attend and will provide us with copious and painstakingly detailed notes on each and every player holding an IU offer.

Getting ready to head over. Tentative viewing schedule:

Fri

4p.      Team Takeover.    Alexander-Moody, Smith

530p   Drive Nation.         Hampton

7p.       Team Durant.        Oladotun

830p   Team Final(1/2) Mokan Elite(1/2).  Jackson, Taylor, Jordan

Sat

2p.       BBE.                       Mitchell

330p.   Mokan Elite(1/2) Nightrydas(1/2).   Taylor, Jordan, Gaskins, Green

5p.        Team Final vs Team Durant.      Jackson, Oladotun

630p.    Team Takeover vs Team Herro.  Alexander-Moody, Smith, Sularski

Couldn’t make Sunday work so couldn’t fit in some of the younger offers. Jackson and Alexander-Moody are the ones. Just absolutely feel like those 2 are a thing.

Raby and Andershock did a video podcast last night after Fri. and Sat. games were over.  They mentioned a number of IU targets they've talked to said they are hearing not just from the @$$'t coaches but from DDV himself.  He keeps that kind of attitude towards recruiting and his golf handicap will skyrocket!   (dws at our former coach)

Hey Demo,

What are you hearing on Najai Hines? Everything I read on line seems to indicate he is in the 2025 class. Played football in North Carolina and had multiple P5 offers but moved to Plainfield New Jersey for his senior to play basketball and wants to play basketball in college.

Would be a fantastic late addition and help solve our frontcourt depth problem.

Don’t know anything past what’s been reported. The football stuff makes perfect sense. If he was 6’5”-6’6”instead of 6’9’-6’10” he’d have NFL left tackle prospect written all over him. Between how well he moves for a kid that size, how good his hands are in traffic and how hard he competes, on 2 watchings became a pretty big fan. Kid’s motor ran hot every second he was on the floor. Would take him and Alexander-Moody without a thought and then see what you can get done with some of the higher rated kids.

Here's the stats for the players who've received offers from DDV from this past weekend's EYBL event in Kansas City.  Most have 11 games of cumulative stats you can review.   The next major events for the EYBL, 3SSB and UAA circuits won't take place until July.  There will be lots of other AAU action in the interim but player stats from those events will be on a hit and miss basis.

Opening game of the 3SSB Eurocamp with a number of IU offers playing on the 3SSB Select team.

Watched about 3/4 of this game and Holt was the best player on the floor. Even if that kid never scores a point he can impact games because he’s such a ridiculous athlete and a really committed defender. But that’ll never happen because he’s so explosive downhill that he can get to the rim on anyone. Big fan.

Were any of the staff at this event?

Held in Italy and I haven’t seen any reports that we were there but I’m not certain that it’s within an NCCA period that would allow attendance. Fwiw haven’t seen any reports of any college staff being there.

Several IU offers playing in the Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas.  College coaches and staff not permitted to attend.  Teams have played 2 games and after 2 games Jason Gardner Jr. has recorded 15 assists and just 3 turnovers.  Bryson Howard averaging18 ppg.  Sammy Jackson is there as well as Collins Onyejiaka.  Teams play another game tonight and a 4th Tuesday afternoon.  Then the players are divided into 2 squads for the final 2 games called Top 40 and Top 60.  By the luck of the draw, Gardner and Onyejiaka are playing on the same team.

Should have kept my keyboard silent.  I jinxed Bryson Howard as he only had 4 points in yesterday's second game.  But Jason Gardner Jr. is having a heckuva camp as he had 7 assists in yesterday's second game bringing his 3-game total to 22 and he's only been charged with 4 TOs.  Considering his teammates are all brand new to him, those are pretty impressive numbers.  Unfortunately, he's shooting like Tom Crean shot free throws.  IYKYK.   Camp wraps up later today.

Jason Gardner for the win in today's first game.  On the previous possession he fired a pass to a teammate for an open 3 that tied the game and then this play with 6 seconds left.  His best overall game of the event scoring 13 pts on 5-6 FG and added another 7 assists bringing his 4-game total to 29 and just 5 TOs.

On a good note, all 4 of our offers attending the Pangos camp were selected to play in the Top 30 finale which the blue team won 145-133.  The next big event coming up is the NBPA Top 100 Camp June 9-13 in Rock Hill, SC.  Coaches are permitted to attend on the 11th and 12th.
