What a ballgame.  Tied it up in our 8th only to see the Huskers score 2 and we're down 1 into the 9th and we blow it open with 7 runs aided by some sloppy Husker fielding.  We had 11 hits with 4 Hoosiers each with 2, and 3 Hoosiers with 2 RBI each.  Bothwell pitched into the 5th giving up 1 run on 6 hits and 1 BB.  Risedorph went 3.1 innings and was touched for 4 of Nebraska's runs and Vogel closed out the game pitching a 3 up, 3 down 9th with 2 strikeouts.

Hoosiers with a 1-0 lead after 5 complete in a pitchers duel.  Both teams with just 2 hits but Hoosiers got the big one with a leadoff homer from Devin Taylor.  How many times has he done that this season?  Foley on the mound and sailed along until the 5th when he struggled a bit giving up a single, a walk, and a wild pitch but got a strikeout to end the Nebraska threat.  He's now at 94 pitches for the night having given up 2 hits, 3 BB and struck out 8.

Ump was ready to go home by the end of this.

Not that we would've done anything anyway -- down 4-2 in 9th with nobody on and two out. But the final pitch to Taylor was low and about 4 inches outside. Taylor clearly checked his swing -- and still got rung up.

Like I said, about 95% sure it wouldn't have mattered -- but a smidge aggravating nonetheless.
