Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Yup, the bird is the word if you want to watch our Hoosiers on Wednesday night take on the Terps (12-8) (4-5). We'll be without Sydney but the Terps are likely without 6'2" (G) Shyanne Sellers who was on crutches after getting injured in their Sunday game against Penn State. Sellers averages 15.4p; 5.6r; 5.0a; 1.5s; .6b; 3.5t. 43% FG; 29% on 3s; 86% FT Tonight's radio show CTM called Sydney day-to-day and didn't say any more than that. Very complimentary of Lexi and the bench in Sunday's game. Radio Live Stats Stuhoo 1 Quote

It's really more week-to-week if it is the injury I am guessing it is (and I have zero confirmation of this) and has a widely variable timeline from a couple weeks to a couple months. This would make Moren saying timeline is really not known, pretty truthful. However, it almost certainly be at least a few weeks in best case scenario. Would not hold my breath that she is back until at least later in February. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
Aaron Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 Also not so fast on Sellers: https://dbknews.com/2024/01/29/maryland-womens-basketball-shyanne-sellers-knee-injury-status/ Not sure she actually play Wednesday but not off the table yet. Certainly looked much worse at time. Austin Render called Sellers 'questionable' on his radio show with Teri Moren tonight. Quote

And just to clarify on Sydney, CTM specifically used the phrase day-to-day. Coachspeak for beats the hell out of me. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 31, 2024 Author Posted January 31, 2024 Talia Goodman - Injury reports for #iuwbb vs. Maryland tonight: For Maryland, Shyanne Sellers is listed as questionable. Indiana’s Sydney Parrish is still listed as OUT. Quote

Think CTM feels reasonably confident they can make it there with only blemish being at OSU which was always gonna be a tough road game. Getting to Iowa with only two losses would be just fine having the opportunity to tie for first in conference by beating the Hawkeyes at home. Quote

JerryYeagley23 Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Don’t know exactly why, but Brenda Freese is right up there with the Mulkey lady from LSU as my least favorite women’s basketball coaches. The way she stalks the sideline. Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. mamasa 1 Quote

JerryYeagley23 Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Talk about fair weather fans for MD. When they were top ten in the country the stadium was rowdy. This is one of the quietest games I’ve heard us play this season. Can hear the girls talking. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

With that shooting form? Good luck. It’s just not going to go in very often. On the bright side? Bargesser is an incredible defender. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
