Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 All I want for Christmas is we never again see the version of our Hoosiers that played at Stanford and at Maine. Stetson (2-6) has yet to win on the road and this game should be a romp. Should be and reality may be two different things but let's hope not. B1G season starts next Saturday at Ruger (5-5). Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 3, 2023 Author Posted December 3, 2023 1Q media timeout and Hoosiers lead 13-7. 6 different IU players have scored. We've given up 4 off. bds. and that's got to get cleaned up. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 3, 2023 Author Posted December 3, 2023 After 1, Hoosiers lead 24-9. Yarden, Mack, Sara and Chloe each 5 pts. We shot 9-13 FG; Stetson 4-15. Stetson did not get any more off. reb. in the quarter. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 3, 2023 Author Posted December 3, 2023 41-20 Hoosier lead at the half. Our rebounding effort is sorely lacking as Stetson grabbed another 7 off. rebs. in the 2nd Q and how have 11 for the game of their 19 total rebs. Our second unit all seeing action in the first half. Pts: Mack and Yarden each with 9; Sara 7; Chloe 5 Reb: Sydney 6; Sara and Chloe each with 3. Asst: Chloe 4; Yarden 3 64% FG to 21% for Stetson. Quote
Todd41 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 This is an ugly third quarter of basketball by both teams Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 3, 2023 Author Posted December 3, 2023 58-29 after 3Q but our engine isn't purring and can't figure out what the problem is. We're lacking consistency and intensity this season. This is an inferior team and yet they're out-rebounding us and now have 15 off. reb. We have 3! Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 3, 2023 Author Posted December 3, 2023 72-34 final. We finished the game with a 5:38 scoring drought. Pts: Mack 17; Yarden 14; Sara 10; Sydney 8; Lenee & Chloe each 7 Reb: Sydney 10; Lilly 7; Sara & Chloe each 5 Asst: Chloe 6; Lexi & Yarden each 4; Sydney 3 48% FG vs. 19% Second unit each played at least 15 min. except Sandvik (11 min) mamasa 1 Quote
TTT Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Sunday afternoon walk note: unfortunately large brace for Currie-Jelks. Quote
mamasa Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I see so much potential for Sandvik, just not there yet. Lots of good progression in the team. CTM coaches and develops differently that many, she knows where the weaknesses are and addresses them. I miss Grace, but am thoroughly confident in the coming years Quote
GloryDays Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Love Bargesser's quickness, defense and she has the ability to play lead guard but her shooting stroke is a disaster. Her free throw shooting is painful to watch with the twist of her torso. Hopefully someone can work with her because everything else is great and we need her to play. Quote

But that shooting stroke includes a case of the ‘yips’ and is gonna be really hard to fix. GloryDays and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
