Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 What a day for IU sports -- soccer at noon; women's bball at 2:00 and the men at Arkansas at 3:30. Indiana Women's Basketball returns home to begin a three-game homestand on Sunday when it welcomes North Florida to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Tip is set for 2 p.m. ET on BTN Plus. North Florida comes to town less than 48 hours after a 64-53 win over Florida A&M on Friday night at home. Other contests include a loss at Florida State to open up the season (53-74) and a win over Trinity Baptist (99-40). They are led by sophomore guard Tiffany Tolbert (17.0 ppg.) and junior guard Adrienne Jackson (16.0 ppg., 7.0 rpg.). As a team, they are averaging 72.0 points through three games while shooting 44.1 percent from the floor. NOTES Indiana returns to the court on Sunday after a week-long break last defeating Oakland on Sunday, Nov. 11. The Hoosiers picked up its first road win over the Golden Grizzlies, 59-32. The 32 Oakland points were the fewest scored by an IU opponent since 2004. In the first two games, the Hoosiers have been led by redshirt juniors Ali Patberg (14.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists per game) and Brenna Wise (15.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 52.6% FG). Freshman forward contributed her first double figure scoring game at Oakland, adding 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocks off the bench. Sunday's game begins a three-game home stretch for the Hoosiers who also welcome SEC foe Florida on Wednesday and Northern Illinois next Sunday. mamasa Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 I think we’ll see the turnovers decrease as the team gels more today. We have taken good shots, they just haven’t fallen consistently (especially for Penn). Excited to watch the team progress. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
