Horrible start. Stiever gives up a 2 out hit after a terrible throw by Fineman on an attempted steal that would of had runner otherwise. Also guy who scored reached via a walk after Stiever had him ahead 0-2.

Bottom 1 dropped third strike allows Miller to reach on gift but Sowers chokes and grounds into double play. Its been a wide strike zone so far by ump so both teams need to adjust to that.

We do not play smart baseball sometimes. Had 1st and 2nd 0 outs in 5th. Houston attempts a bunt but misses and we get caught in a rundown to kill any threat we had of scoring.

Still 1-1 after 5.

@IndianaBase: The 12 strikeouts for @JonathanStiever is the most for an #IUBASE pitcher since @jdenato5 (12 strikeouts vs. Michigan on Feb. 27, 2012).

Krueger gives up a 2 out walk and base hit then the Tigers take the lead on a couple of bad throws. Lloyd, Miller Sowers up.

I would like an apology. This team doesn't focus when it plays lower level competition and its an issue we have had the entire Lemonis era. It was not an issue with being Cincinnati coming off a long trip. I've watched this entire game and we are not focused and about to lose the game because of it. We just went down 2-1 in 9th because first Jeremy Houston hesitated at short trying to throw to 1st making runner safe than in a panic the runner from 2nd scored because Dunham tossed low to Fineman coming back home. We just are not focused all day and threw away a career day from Stiever.

This will absolutely be a tourney team that beats some high level teams as we have already done but we are going to lose some clunkers because we play to our competition. That was the difference between Tracy Smith and Chris Lemonis. With Smith we beat everyone regardless of competition level. With Lemonis we have even more talent and beat great teams but also take some losses we should not which is why we win 30-35 games instead of 40-45 games.

I also don't want people coming on here stating how "Fred Glass" has downgraded the program either with the hire which I have seen to much of. People who don't follow Baseball need to stay out of this. The Program is still in a good spot and was never going to maintain at Smith's level but there are some issues that need to be addressed.

Lloyd picked off 2nd and another bad loss. This Pacific team is on a lower level than Cincy but still reasonably competitive which continues to be a problem for us for several years.

I know Baseball very well and as I have said learned and interned with a prominent program and I know what I am watching for. This is another 30-35 win 2-3 seed who will continue to beat really good teams but lack focus against lower level ones and be in contention for Big Ten Title.

Who in the world do you want an apology from? You complaining is honestly really annoying. We enjoy watching our baseball program.. if you want to just rag on them, please go somewhere, you're ruining it for the rest of us.

I don't just complain. I call it like it is. Look at all the nice things I have said in many posts in as well. I merely point out issues this team has. It doesn't make me any less of a fan because of it. I watch almost every game and will call it like I see it. I see a team for several years now that has issues focusing when it plays lower level competition.
