Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 End of the 1st Q and L'ville leads 22-18. Buss with 5 is our leading scorer. 6 TO's already and out-rebounded 7-4 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 Buss with 4 of the 10 TO's and 2 fouls. Maybe trying to do too much on her own? Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 At the half, L'ville leads 37-28. Penn 8 pts; Royster 6; Buss & Warthen 5 each. Royster with 6 reb. Up to 13 TO's and outrebounded 17-13. We're 5-10 on 3's or it could be much worse as we're only hitting 11-26 from the field. The Cardinals have really kept Cahill under control with only 3 pts. and 2 reb. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
ccgeneral Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Penn trying to keep us in this herself. Class of '66 Old Fart and IUsafety 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 End of 3 and L'ville maintains a 59-47 lead shooting 52% from the field. Meanwhile, IU only hitting 43% and taken 8 less shots. Penn having a strong game with 17 pts. and 5 reb., although she does have 4 TO's. Royster our leading rebounder with 7. HoosierAloha 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 Our lack of depth is really hurting is in this game as our bench has only played 9 minutes. mamasa and HoosierAloha 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 Lady Hoosiers could never mount a sustained comeback and fall 72-59 to L’ville. Leading scorers: Penn 17; Buss 12; Cahill 9. Royster our leading rebounder with 8. After a lousy first half with turnovers, we did take much better care of the ball in the second half and finished with a total of 16 TO’s. L’ville hit 48% from the field to our 43% and they got off 8 more shots. L’ville also won the rebound battle 38-27; with 12 of its 38 being off the offensive glass. Next up is a Sunday afternoon game with Auburn in Assembly Hall. IUsafety and HoosierAloha 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 Post-game from CTM: "Loved our fight, thought we played extremely hard for 40 minutes tonight," but points to the bottom of the stat sheet, 54 points in the paint for Louisville, second-chance points, etc. mamasa 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 From Jon Blau: Under-the-radar factoid: Senior Amanda Cahill had a 33-game double-figures scoring streak snapped last night. That was the longest on the team. She had nine points, six assists, five rebounds. For context, the program record is held by Cahill's teammate, senior Tyra Buss, who went 59 consecutive games in double figures. That streak ended versus Maryland (Feb.5, 2017) last season. Quote
