Finally started playing yesterday. All I can say is the that I am very impressed. Almost a little overwhelming at first. Loving every chance I get to play, which is not much. My ten year old son is a huge Zelda fan. I got him hooked on Twilight Princess when he was three years old. Believe it or not, that game taught him how to read.

Currently shrine hunting now.  Found about 30 completed about half.  I thought I would do more of the main story, but just having a great time exploring the world.  Finding shrines.  Looking for the memories also.  Some of these towers are puzzles in themselves just to get past the enemies.

I have a sneaky suspicion that this game is meant to not fit in any of the established timelines.

So far how often it rains is the only issue I have with the game

Just make a campfire and sit Most of the time once u get up from fire it quits raining. The time line is hard hard to tell. Just did a side quest which opened up a hidden shrine. So there are shrines everywhere. Just beat one of the divine beasts dungeon

Yeah I need to gather more flint so I can build campfires more reliably.  Yeah I found a shrine thats a whole island in the southeast corner of the map, it was a pretty cool challenge.

I have journeyed and begun the quests for the Zoras and the Rito.  Need to mix some heat resistance so I can go up death Mountain still.  Wanna do that one first for some reason, not sure why.

Also just found the Lost Woods.

I am ready to say this is the best Zelda game, its so accessible to the masses while still being uniquely Zelda.  I am not sure its my favorite but I will say its the best.  And that is something I never thought I would ever say about a game other than OoT.

Because of the situation with my daughter in the NICU haven't had much of a chance to play it as much as i would like.  Mostly just playing to veg out after a 16 hour day between work and hospital.  But i can't wait till we get my daughter home and I can carve out a saturday to just tear through this game.

I've thought about buying a system I just don't think I'd ever use it. I used to play all the time but since I sold mine a few years ago I haven't really had that itch.
