When I Googled it, I got this from AI (for what it's worth). I don't see any of them leaving for another 5 years unless they sue, and who knows what can happen then. AI Overview In short, the primary reason why teams cannot easily leave the ACC is the Grant of Rights (GOR) agreement combined with significant exit fees. Here's a breakdown: Grant of Rights: This agreement, signed by all member schools, irrevocably grants their media rights to the ACC until 2036. Even if a school were to leave the conference, the ACC would still control the broadcast rights to its games, and the departing school wouldn't receive that revenue, according to Raleigh News & Observer. Exit Fees: Leaving the ACC also involves hefty financial penalties. The exit fee is currently around $165 million for fiscal year 2026, dropping incrementally until it reaches $75 million in 2030-31 and remaining there until the GOR expires.

Isn't there a yuge buyout if one of them leaves before their media right deal is over? From what I remember, that is what has been keeping FSU and Clemson from bolting the last few years.
-
And you wonder why there have been rumblings the last few years of the P4 breaking away from the NCAA to start their own league. The NCAA really needs to be more consistent with their rulings and not be so scared of being sued anymore.
-
And you would think that over time, the spending cannot keep going up like it is if there is no ROI for the donors. I don't know what that breaking point is, but there will have to be one at some point, right?

When I posted this morning, I didn't intend for him to be denied. The whole beginning vs. the end of the year is stupid. I really don't blame anyone to reorganizing the NCAA or making another organization.
-
LOL, yeah, I don't care for that, but it isn't my money they are getting.
-
Half way through July, and there has been no word on this decision yet? I can see why there are rumblings to give the NCAA a big middle finger and the P4 to form their own organization. It moves about as fast as a government entity.
-
Ok, stupid question, but I am actually wondering, three days, 16 teams, so how do they determine who is in the Championship game and third place game? With 16 teams, it should take almost 4 or 5 days to do that in a bracket situation. Do they (the powers that be) choose who played the best or by some rankings?

Good for him. One can have a pretty solid career in Europe to keep that dream of the NBA alive. -

In terms of information about the situation BTS on the BB team, this might be the winner. There was just a lot of stuff from a lot of different places, but that episode confirmed a lot of it.

I checked out the thread this morning, and then was just doing some surfing on ESPNs website keeping an eye on the tennis match this morning when I saw that article. I was wondering if they took the inspiration from that post. LOL

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/45689028/way-too-early-top-25-archvillains Here is a story about the potential "archvillains" for each of the top 25 teams. Indiana is mentioned with an interesting opponent.

I thought the same. "Did he get get his waiver?" Nope, just some people getting impatient from not hearing anything.

He didn't take into account the brilliance of the King of Indiana in those rankings.

2025-2026 IUBB Schedule

Without having a early tournament this year, it should be a good test for a newly formed team to see just what they are made of. You have a cupcake before Marquette which will be a pretty solid team to go against for a team trying to gel. You don't want the full schedule of cupcakes to start out like I think Crean or Miller had to start with, but they will be tested in those P4 games. -
He said "some". Just how much are they able to get because he has a ton of shoes right there? I do wear a 13. Hmm

They are taking their sweet time with that waiver. At this rate, the semester will start before they find out. -
If the NBA was going to get what they wanted, the Knicks would be in the Finals and not the Pacers. Any of those conspiracy theories that are mentioned are BS just because of that fact. Sunday night should be a really good game if the Pacers come out to play like they did last night. Come out playing knowing it is the last game of the season with nothing to hold back for.
-
I never understood the whole, "OMG, we have two smaller market teams in the Finals. No one will watch!" Then why bother giving 2 smaller market cities teams then? There is always a chance they will make it to the Finals one day. Only those bean counters should care what the ratings are. The NBA has regular season ratings problems they need to figure out before they worry about the Finals ratings.
-
I would think the NBA would want the score a little closer because the ratings would be better. A lot of people check out if the score gets out of whack that like. It is more that the Thunder kinda sucked it in knowing they had a Game 7 at their place on Sunday. If you have a chance to knock a team out, you don't let them hang around. If you F around, you can find out sometimes.

I believe that she has a black belt and used to beat up her older brothers when they were younger. She doesn't take that much crap from people.

But would you have had the fun that the Dr. Jerry had in the 80's if it was in that fund? He lived a lot while he was the owner of the Lakers. Lol
-
Bought the Lakers for $67 million 46 years ago, and now selling it at a $10 billion evaluation? I would say they got good return on that investment.

Kinda surprised he is able to find time with all the rain lately.
