  1. $40/month for Fox and ESPN? Might as well get Sling Orange & Blue for $30/months for 3 months. The prices on streaming is almost as bad as cable was, and they don't have near the infrastructure as cable had to support with the wiring all over the area.
  2. The feds at one time would break up or deny the consolidation, but they don't anymore. You got 4 companies that have about 80 to 85% of the beef market for example, and you wonder why prices skyrocket sometimes. Need someone with guts to bust them up, but money talks.
  3. Watching the highlights of the game last night, and they look to be much more willing to run. Could we finally have the 2 basketball teams good at the same time? I am here for it.
  4. I could say something about Woodson and his coaching last season but ...
  5. https://www.insidethehall.com/2025/11/03/news-and-notes-from-inside-iu-basketball-with-darian-devries/ Here is a recap of the show last night along with a player to listen to it. Enright was the team member who came with CDD, and I am going to like him.
  6. Wow, he has put in the work to put himself in the position that he is in. I applaud him on that, and I will support and cheer him on in everything he does.
  7. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46819253/sources-auburn-fires-coach-hugh-freeze-2-plus-seasons How many teams in the SEC expect to be playing for championships and to be in the playoffs every year? I think Vandy and IU doing very good seams to make a lot of traditional strong football schools a little embarrassed.
  8. Kinda shows how much Wisky has gone downhill in the last 2 seasons.
  9. He has been on the Field of 68 for a little bit. I like him on there.
  10. https://www.si.com/college/iowa/football/big-noon-kickoff-heads-iowa-hawkeyes-despite-cbs-broadcast It is unusual for them to be separate, but there is really no reason given outside of they both are pretty big games. FOX gets their choice of which to broadcast, and they might have had a hard time to figure out which one to do at noon. I am just spit balling ideas.
  11. If that coach has enough pull, he could end up getting to say Yay or Nay on who gets the job also.
  12. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46792198/lsu-interim-ad-verge-ausberry-hire-next-football-coach They don't like Vandy and IU being in the hunt while they are not. They gave the interim AD the ability to hire the next coach which I can see seeing he is a former player who has been "connected" with the school for 30 years. We will see. "We're going to hire the best football coach there is," Ausberry said in a news conference Friday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "That's our job. We are not going to let this program fail. LSU has to be in the playoffs every year in football. There's 12 teams that make it. It's going to expand here. We have to be one of those teams at LSU. No substitute."
  13. Also, look at what Lea is doing at Vandy. 2 schools who were basically doormats in their conferences are having some awesome runs in football because they found a coach who can win there. That has to put a lot of pressure at places who have hung their hat on being known for football. I think it is crazy awesome.
  14. Looks like they were throwing up some bricks in the second half. The question would be is Georgetown better than previously thought, or is PUke and pUKe not nearly as good? It is probably somewhere in between.
  15. That is what is nice about having an alumnus and has been in the department basically his adult life. We can be pretty confident he isn't going anywhere.
  16. They did with Bill O'Brien and Franklin, but they didn't get the results they wanted. They are now looking to be lowering those standards a bit.
  17. The question is, with all the huffing and puffing the Gov of LA is stating about Kelly being owed all that money, does Kelly find another one and take some of that sting off of LSU from owing him a chunk of change?
  18. Big job openings get some coaches big extensions.
  19. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46773515/gov-jeff-landry-critical-ad-scott-woodward-amid-lsu-shakeup They didn't have to fire him and pay that money. The could've let him finish the year and coach next year to lower it, but they didn't. Putting that big of a buyout is crazy, but they do it anyway and get stuck with a boat load of cash to pay. I seriously doubt if the taxpayers are having to pay that money, but I get where the Governor is coming from. The AD should have his head examined for giving Kelly a 9 year extension in the first place, and I bet he is gone one way or another in a few months. You don't have the Governor talking like this about you at a yuge state school and survive it.
  20. Ah yes, the popcorn balls and caramel apples that you had to have the police scan to make sure there weren't razorblades in them before you ate them. I can do the popcorn balls all day, but just give me candy instead of the apples.
  21. Yeah, this has no chance of getting through Congress. The President appoints the commissioner of a new college sports association? That won't become political at all. These colleges don't have to fire these coaches and pay that amount of buyouts, but they do it when they know the price. It isn't like the actual university is actually paying the buyout anyway which this Congressman should know.
  22. Snickers and then Reese's followed by Skittles are the answers. If you choose any other candy, I have to question your ability to choose candy.
  23. Still rooting for Toronto just because of Evansville's Donnie Baseball on the coaching staff of the Blue Jays, but it is pretty cool to see local guys coming up big.
  24. How sweet would it be to get this guy from under the noses of pUKe and UL?
