  1. I have a sense the last thing Woody’s pals can try to do for him is give him the option to resign when wants between now and end of year. But things have deteriorated and it’s time for Scott and Pam to take action
  2. An announcement that Woody will resign end of season would do wonders for the atmosphere at AH for the UM game and the rest of the home games. I still doubt his ego will agree to it...
  3. Nothing is officially starting for 4.5 more weeks! There will be no kneejerking amongst the stakeholders after one bad result, or two, or three, or losing six of the last seven…
  4. Cruelty is a strong word. It’s just fan displeasure when they see something they care about neglected. Mike has not put 100% into this job, everyone can see that, and on top of that he’s been arrogant and deflected blame along the way. Now that he has comprehensively failed at his job, the chickens have come home to roost.
  5. I checked in on Tyme, still not tweeting after he deleted all his posts a few days ago. Maybe he finally came to grips with being 100% wrong.
  6. Every time Scott sees the pro-Woody donors and trustees, it has to be an extremely satisfying spoken or unspoken "I told you so."
  7. I don’t know, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this year’s Spring Game outdraws last year’s Hoosier Hysteria. Of course it doesn’t mean FB is bigger, but it’s another sign of change. IUBB is a sleeping (dormant?) giant, but CFB is way, way bigger than CBB. Winning a big CFB game is honestly more cool than a big CBB win. Cig is an exciting leader… if he keeps it up it may flip in a few years. I don’t care which one is bigger, I just want to be good at both.
  8. That $1M raise he got in August 2023 drives me crazy. He had not outperformed in any way that deserved a raise, and after getting the raise he completely fell apart.
  9. Those are not the expectations here, no matter how many different ways you try to say it.
  10. Yea. On that note IIRC Cig wants portal to come down a bit (not saying it will go away, it won’t) and HS to pick up a bit. ‘26 I think we’ll see that continue to happen as the staff has now had the time required to form relationships with high school players and the programs/coaches. The more a program can develop internally the better — cheaper than the portal and better team continuity.
  11. After seeing her I thought he was going to be a better recruiter than he ended up being.
  12. Hanner Perea is not a fan.
  13. Hopefully Woody’s burner brigade didn’t get to him!
  14. Yea, every midmajor coach is not automatically Archie. There are great ones in those ranks. But, we need Scott to figure out which ones work at IU if we go that route. I can’t really tell from a distance.
  15. Agree. Though I suspect he may play a little different after recruiting high end players with our NIL…
  16. I can’t guarantee Scott gets the hire right, but I am quite sure he has been prepping for this moment for years and has a Plan A, B, C, all the way to Z. All the IUBB influences need stand back to let him go through his process.
  17. It’s pretty likely someone different is hiring the bball coach this time. And that person just hired a very good football coach, a feat which seemed nearly impossible. I’m not saying you need to believe the Brad or even Dusty stuff. But there are reasons for optimism that we hire someone good.
  18. Beyond Brad I really don’t who we should hire. I’ve never met these candidates and interviewed them to figure out why they are successful to date and why they would or wouldn’t work at IU. I am praying Scott figures it out in the interviews, he has done it before, which gives me hope…
  19. I know what you mean, but just on this topic if he wanted to come here $5-6M probably gets it done vs the $3.6M he is making now.
  20. As scarce as OL is in CFB right now and with the rev share adding $15M to team payrolls this season, $1M doesn't seem crazy for a 13 game starter on last season's runner-up team.
  21. Makes sense. A strong coach and leader would tell them all to stop. But Woody, instead of taking responsibility, has decided to frame himself as the victim of... whatever nonsense they can dream up... upset fans, injuries, etc. Unfortunately for the burners, they cannot attack IU's win/loss columns and other results-based metrics.
  22. This is the only one I saw. It was a dumb DM to send, but it was fairly tepid.
  23. The bball chef can’t cook anything good even after spending $6M on high end ingredients.
  24. Tyme deleted all his posts again lol
