  1. Hysterics. They cause much more embarrassment to IU. Greg mostly just embarrasses himself. And likely even worse, their NIL collective is highly suspect. They do not provide any transparency (not even basic updates they promise on their website), nor do they have any sort of basic oversight or financial controls in place. This is irresponsible and also perfectly sets them up to do whatever they want with the pile of money they have collected from IU fans -- take a guess what people tend to do when they have access to opaque piles of cash. They can easily dispel these concerns with an extremely basic audit any IU grad CPA would do for free, but they don't...
  2. Interesting preemptive denial… :-)
  3. Agree. And all the nasty DMs are stupid and out of line. That said, none of these death threats are real. It’s not like any college coach or player has ever needed security or ever faced an assassination attempt. It’s just dumb people, some of who may not even be IU fans, typing nasty stuff into their phone. This all gets blown out of proportion.
  4. Yea. Almost every well-known P5 bball player is going to have some wild DMs. People that DM them are wrong, stupid, and losers, but players are public figures and this happens when they're on social media. Same goes for every other person the public is familiar with in other walks of life. Thanks to Woody's crappy team culture, we've got Ballo mirroring his coach and thinking this is an IU-only issue. Now IU is getting smeared. Woodson is just so damn toxic, thankfully this is almost over with him.
  5. Yea. Imo, we kinda get screwed because if IUFB beats someone a lot of people assume that team must be bad. Whatever, I'm loving it as are many IU fans.
  6. They're the worst. Being permanently skeptical is not a good trait. They've been moving the goalposts this past year too: - Oh, new coach, he's talking a big game, but he will be another failure. - Wait til the B1G road opener at UCLA. We're gonna get killed. - Wait til we play a real defense like Nebraska. Honeymoon over! - Wait til we actually play a real road game at MSU - Wait til we have to play a team with draft picks like UM Blah, blah, blah. Yea we had a tough time at the national champs, who were killing everyone, including Tennessee and Oregon, and also the national runner-up. That's like the most reasonable thing ever for a first year coach inheriting a bottom of the conference program picked at the beginning of the season to be last or second to last in the conference. These losers will be trying to lob "I told you so's" if IUFB wins 6, 7, even 8 games next year. Which is monumentally dumb given where we have been and what the program is trying to do. Everyone knows it will take years and there will be ups and downs, heck this staff is just 16 months in and still getting high school recruiting relationships going. If an IU fan can't enjoy what IUFB is trying to do, they like being miserable more than they like IU. And by the way, the whole financial future of IU athletics rests on football, bball just does not move the needle even though we all love it.
  7. I think that's his nickname given he's #9. K-9.
  8. That’s what I heard — he is a candidate and he is telling some people, which Goodman picked up. Definitely too early to call anything though because, as we know, Scott isn’t saying anything to anyone.
  9. A Good Walk Spoiled was great.
  10. Two “good” teams? It’s pretty tough playing national champ and runner-up on the road. We were in year one of our new coach and they had 3-5x more NIL than IU. Those games got away from us, but it’s pretty understandable. OSU was smashing everyone. Our margins of victory was pretty darn good too vs the bad and mediocre teams. Agree seven win type seasons are good. Hopefully we can do even better. Just becoming a midpack team in the conference would be amazing.
  11. Anyone who just cites the schedule isn’t paying attention to IUFB. And you’re right, 7 or 8 wins is fine. This is a multi-year project to get out of the bottom of the conference.
  12. Yea, and nothing has actually happened!
  13. Right now McDermott is -175, McCasland is +900.
  14. FYI, odds have moved a bit. See link below. The BetOnline format makes the uploaded picture kinda hard to read, but if you click on the image it will expand and become larger. https://www.betonline.ag/sportsbook/futures-and-props/ncaam-specials/coaches Interesting Brad isn't even on here. I'd think someone wants to bet him and the book will of course take their $.
  15. I won’t miss Mr. Upstairs.
  16. Jfc we have the worst team culture I’ve ever seen.
  17. I’d love Scott to completely cut them off. Maybe find a reason to sue them to force them to shutdown their NIL grift — everyone can go to Hoosier Connect. They are so bad for IU.
  18. You gotta be a “True Fan” to head to Dayton to watch this coach and team. It’s such a brutal watch.
  19. Yea I’m not commenting on Self, who I don’t think is at the right stage in his career to hire. Just highlighting KU has had its first down year in like 20 years and it’s crazy they’re complaining. And our fanbase gets the toxic and fishbowl narrative…
  20. Yea KU won a title three years ago and 17 of the last 20 conference titles! Those poor KU fans, one down season and they’re complaining lol.
  21. I’ve heard he may not be thrilled with KU’s big push with football — those are resources not going to bball. I don’t think he’s likely at all, but he may be worn out with KU… he has been there forever and eventually things get old.
  22. He also got caught out when some announcer (I forget who) said Woody told him something along the lines of he didn’t know why his results were not good enough, which implied he was fired. Woody broke his retirement narrative spin with that too. Also, of course, anyone close to the program will tell you he got fired/relieved of his duties, which makes perfect sense given his poor performance.
