  1. Then you can’t be a “true fan!” :)
  2. At airport watching South Fla v E Carolina. S Fla switches well, then gets to rim for boards quickly on D, gets out on break well, and is I think 8-15 from 3 at the half. Now that’s enjoyable basketball
  3. NOOO that’s too slow! I want to drive my car! Have you ever tried to pass someone in a bandwagon??
  4. And at my expense! Is he telling ME to CHILL?!! To CHIIIILLLL???? WHAAATT?!! And get on the BUS?? wHAT!? I don’t want to get on the bus, I want to drive my car - don’t tell ME to get on the F— ing BUS!!! F the BUS!
  5. I don’t know, I thought Woodson’s speech was idiotic, but have no issues with Leal’s —
  6. Honestly there’s nothing wrong with this statement— I think some are taking it out of context or too personally.
  7. In the immortal words of George Harrison, “All good things must pass.” So yeah the cornholes’ outside shooting and rebounding will probably win this one — and the computer models favor them — But it’s been fun picking our guys so why stop now? IU - 73 Cornholes - 71
  8. Not imo. 2 years ago was a different team altogether. First half of this season? Hard to say, probably should’ve gotten minutes for stability but doubt he was standing out in practices and staff was expecting development out of a couple guys who didn’t show it. I’m very much wanting IU to move on from Woodson, but hindsight based on current play from Leal who almost never played in a full college career isn’t one of my reasons
  9. Rant ignores that the experience he brings to this team is now contributing to W’s. We don’t win without him on the floor last night. It’s not about his athleticism, it’s about his decision making. We obviously need to significantly improve our backcourt this offseason and going forward. But that doesn’t mean it makes sense to just dismiss the kid’s contributions bc he isn’t athletic or the level of guard we need to get back into contention
  10. I like Malik but he looks for his instead of moving the ball or kicking back out more than he shows offensive team awareness. He’d be a lot better both individually and as a team facilitator by growing his assist game and generally creating space by moving the ball
  11. I’m positive we’ve won 5 in a row
  12. Imo Cupps is going to be a solid lead guard and is the kind of player and build that will have that real frosh to soph jump- he was not ready to contribute major minutes, he’s not strong enough, and his game, imo, has been held back, not facilitated by Woodson. Come into soph year bigger, summer growth, stronger, now with the year of B1G experience— and pair him with a genuine shooting guard with the green light to rain 3’s, and drive and kick, and his soph year should be a good one.
  13. LoadedChicken hearing Woodson call Leal a real pro … KABOOOM YEOOOWWZAA suck it whose your daddy now Btownbanners????
  14. He’s waiting for Woodson to put him in.
  15. If we’re going to play inside get Ware going
  16. They’ve shot 11 3’s to our 4, just hope their percentages stay down in this game, that we defend the arc
  17. But is it Malik or Woodson’s O? In fairness PSU’s weakness is interior D so it makes sende to push inside, but yeah Malik regularly doesn’t move the ball well let alone kick it out
  18. IU - 75 PSU - 72 cause they suck defending inside, and I’m just gonna hope Woodson gets a clue and schemes to limit their 3’s. Let’s go!
  19. That's a good point, e.g., the NBA
  20. By ego I'm referring to his refusal to accept that his brand of basketball -- pound it into and play through the post and ignore the 3-point line -- is outdated and is a major part of why we are not competing - winning at the level of the talent on the team. That's freaking clear. The team is fighting, we got the W's over the past 4 games -- that's great. But no, it doesn't show he's tempered his ego -- and that was highlighted by his ridiculous statements all about himself on senior night. Imo, his ego has been and remains a real problem. How will we defend the 3-point shot against PSU, and how will we run our O? Will it be the same thing, yet again? If we get pounded by PSU like we have every time we play them under Woody, that will just continue to show his failure to recognize his schemes are bad for IU
  21. Yeah and Woodson has been nothing short of horrible against PSU. Here’s to hoping he puts his ego aside and adjusts for shooting tomorrow. Bako let it fly, X bring your focused A game, Gallo please surprise us by being ok to play
  22. absolutely right, depends on the nature of the torn meniscus. Minor example, both of my sons, one in basketball the other in soccer have had torn meniscus injuries in both knees. Both, as teenagers, required arthroscopic surgery, walking after the surgery - which is not very invasive, but both requiring multiple weeks before resuming sports activities. Hell, Kawhi L lost last season in the playoffs because of a torn meniscus - 8 week recovery. The idea people can just 'tough it out' ignores that that completely depends on the nature of the tear -- you don't screw around with your knees and basketball future.
  23. Well yeah there is a bit of federal law on that....
