Tough one. Our 3 game run includes the W over Wisc at home and they’re better than MSU. MSU just beat NW at home but they’ve been losing. On the other hand they’re fighting for the tourney. I’m going with our guys, part rose colored glasses, part belief they’ve re-found confidence and will play for the W at home. IU - 74 Izzo-spas out - 71

That's a typo -- I was saying IU "didn't fire Woodson" -- of course it fired Sampson, lol -- and I don't need a couple days away from the Board, I'm not the one continuously venting in this thread, that was kind of my point. I'll go back and edit to correct my typo

I get all this but talk about beating a dead horse. The horse is dead. We all knew -- should have known -- the U would not kick Woodson to the curb after 3 years and 2 tourney appearances -- despite that at this point it really looks like the U should have. And Liam has decommitted -- though he probably would have also if Woodson had been fired (why would he sit around waiting to see who IU hired and how he fit in etc.?) I'm pretty bummed about losing Liam, heck of a player and a good kid. But that's where we are, right, the U didn't fire Woodson. That's done. Put a fork in it.

You left out completely and deliberately ignoring the 3-point line -- turning IU from a program that used to value shooting into one of the lowest (by volume) outside shooting teams in all of DI. That's just plain unbelievable, except that it's true.

For the average person like me (:)), can you further explain the "more quality wins within the Q1 and Q2 area" point? I read RaceToTheTop (I can't wait until you change your name again @RaceToTheTop -- the whole Race 2-big front-court thing...) post to say that IU has the same number of Q1 wins (4-8) and same number of Q2 wins (5). I'm sure I'm missing something, thx in adv --

There are many things about IU of which I am proud. Sports include our almost always outstanding soccer team and recently the women's bball team, and though I'm not much of a football fan anyway, there's reason for optimism there. For me though, apparel isn't just about the IU basketball program, and I'm sure not throwing away clothes just because we currently have some stupid decisionmakers in place. It's my college, my academic foundation, the campus that remains one of the nicest I've ever seen and I had the pleasure of spending 4 years on it, hey, it's my school. Trash gear because of some stupidity around the bball program? To each his own, not me. And for what it's worth, this is imo short term. Not a fan of Woodson and his ridiculous inability to see the incredible stupidity of ignoring 3-point shooting, that's mind boggling stubborn, self-defeating inanity. But that leaf will fall and we'll have new coaching staff in a year or so. Not going to judge that until it happens.
