I think this highlights that we as fans mostly focus on offense and not on an individual player's D, and how important it can be, the D often gets overlooked. Stew's D on Maldanado last night was one of the keys to the W. He was brought in for shooting and did next to nothing offensively, but in that game that's not what was important. Same is often true of Rob (generally), often doesn't get credit for how important he is. We need D just as much as we need O, and, really, for this team it all starts on the defensive end.

Amen Year 1 advance past UM and Illinois in the B1G tourney, finish with 20 wins, make the ncaa tourney, and win - at least - a tourney game - all while bringing back team cohesion, a team of guys who like and cheer for each other on the bench, and guys showing real improvement over the season — Geronimo is going to be the monster player he’s shown flashes of, X made big strides, Galloway is better (just get that jumper), Race has grown his game, and recruiting looks good - and will grow with these tourney wins - future is bright

End of the day, no matter what BS we hear from the committee/ NCAA, we need to improve our noncon SOS, and then not lose home games to teams like Rutgers. That said, the committee is full of s$$$

He’ll def test the waters - work out for teams etc., and whether he comes back likely depends on the feedback he gets including whether another season could benefit him in scouts’ / teams’ eyes or not from a draft perspective, weighing possibility of injury, etc. He’s had a strong year regardless of All American Team voting. He hasn’t shown outside shooting and hasn’t changed his game much from last season, from what we see in games, but that’s only part of the picture, how he works out for teams including shooting, finishing with both hands, tells the teams more than what we see in games.
