  1. This is a game where TJD needs to move the ball inside-out, and Kopp, Stew and yes Rob need to shoot from the perimeter
  2. I’m not really optimistic we’ll get this road W, but screw it I’m going with my crimson glasses IU 75 Iowa 72
  3. Worth noting IU’s total game score avg is 137.9, an o/u of 151 is way over that. On the flip side Iowa has won 13 of last 14 at home and is a scoring machine.
  4. Keep it on the down low. I've hired Tonya Harding and her crew. They'll jump Woodson shortly before the game and force-dress him in the suit. Reverse velcro straps on the cuffs, he'll be stuck in it.
  5. Problem: an injunction maintains the status quo, can't "enjoin" a coach to do that which he isn't doing. Problem #2: There are lawyers on this site, including me, lol. Solution: Plaintiffs file baseless, meritless suits (pun intended) all the time, so file away -- He'll be pissed off, but won't want to fund the expensive lawyers' fees (!) so he'll don the suit anyway!
  6. It's an interesting sim for sure. It's at home offense (Iowa now KenPom Adj O #3) vs. road defense (IN now KenPom Adj D 11). Seems like home offense often wins against road D, and Iowa can put up points in bunches. On the flip side IU's offense is now better (KenPom Adj O 70), and with Galloway back I think that continues to climb (and think we'll see Bates get back in his groove, after missed time, hasn't been his best since due to all the personal things he's been dealing with, kind of a dark horse to have an explosive game) -- and Iowa's D (now Adj D 155) just aint very good. I tend to think this is going to be a real back and forth dogfight, with some real runs. It's hard for a sim to factor in things like Galloway's recent return, Bates being down, right? (I'm no sim specialist.) Also, the team now has some real confidence after the solid, convincing home wins over OSU and Minn, and maybe, just maybe, it's ready to get over the top on the road. (assuming Woody wears a suit of course)
  7. Man Illini really struggling with Neb, 1 possession game
  8. Wyoming’s better though :)
  9. Neb back within 1
  10. I'm not superstitious -- I'm just little stitious
  11. Me and @Stuhoo have this same relationship. @Stuhoo can call me out in the coffee thread, for my use of a grinder with a digital reader, and use of a percolator, and I'm just gonna take it and build on it.
  12. If - a big if - we beat Iowa on the road, have to think we'd be ranked in the next one. I know rankings don't really matter, but it'd be nice to get back to being a regularly ranked team -- I think we are on track to getting there, and will, and it's a question of when not whether, but we'll see --
  13. 15 points. I've watched them play. It's all my opinion end of the day, but no way is Wyoming at this level. Happy to revisit this come tourney time
  14. saw the zona game. Hey, I'm not arguing with you, I just find the NET rankings a mix of inaccurate rankings at this point, it's a developing ranking, I get that, but no way is Wyoming on par with this IU team - imo
  15. We’d smoke Wyoming. I get that these ranking systems are in constant flux and adjust but Wyoming is in no way at this level
  16. Yes I understand that, but it's readily apparent from who Wyoming has played that they are not a top tier NET school, except that's how they rank 'em. Yes, it will work out, as of now, it's flawed https://gowyo.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule/2021-22
  17. Ah, I didn't catch the date changes, thanks
  18. NET rankings still kind of elusive ... As of 1/9/21, we're still at #33, after wins over OSU and MINN, and we're 1 spot behind that power house school, Wyoming...sure https://stats.ncaa.org/selection_rankings/nitty_gritties/23423?utf8=✓&commit=Submit Current KenPom - IU now #24 overall, Adj D #10, Adj O #72 https://kenpom.com/ (Wyoming #88)
  19. Agree, and he also had a great tip out. Btw he's our 3d leading rebounder while being 8th in minutes. He's working his way in, but he's not playing enough, think that will change - it should
  20. I am not banking on a W at Iowa, but Iowa's strength (almost as always) is its offense, and our D is better and should give Iowa fits. That's probably going to be a game of runs and an all out dog fight. And now that we have Galloway back, adding the spark and downhill game he brings along with extra D, should be a good game win or lose.
  21. I am so apathetic!!
  22. Ok this literally made me laugh out loud
  23. Love the balanced scoring in this game -- 4 of 5 starters in double figures along with Rob's 4-9 off the bench. 3-point shooting at 38% on 24 shots, 26-55 on FG's
