LSU looks as if it's starting to pull away. They're gaining control despite some questionable -- and stupid -- penalties. I recall at least four 15-yarders.

It's not allowed by the NCAA ... Again, I can't imagine they'd kick up a fuss, but still ... I don't think it was smart to say he's been betting a lot on a college football game.

So, I'm watching/listening to the show on Facebook live. Archie looked very relaxed and like he actually was enjoying himself. I'm hoping the win against OSU eased the pressure a bit and the fellas can keep up the inspired play. But toward the end, he said something that, while I don't think it would get him into trouble, I don't think it was very bright. Someone asked who he liked in tonight's LSU-Clemson game. He said Clemson. Fisch said he liked LSU, then asked Archie if he wanted to bet a dollar. "A buck?" Archie asks. "Sure ... I gotta lot of bucks on this one." Archie, you probably should be a little smarter than that. I don't think the NCAA will kick up a fuss about it, but you don't want to give them any reason to, either.

Not long after their suspensions were announced, GM and manager were fired by the Astros' owner. ... Won't be working for team in 2020 -- or anytime after.

Dang -- a double OT road loss to a 13-3 team and we drop three spots. Tough crowd! ... The good news, if there is any? South Carolina is now No. 1. The Gamecocks are 16-1. Gee, can you guess who dealt them that loss? So, we can say we've beaten the top-ranked team in the land. Which leads me to believe if we're playing our best, we can compete with anybody!

Back when there were just 16 B1G games, we tied with Wisconsin and Illinois for the regular-season championship at 11-5 (.688) in 2002. ... Of course, that ended up being a pretty fun season! ... My guess is you'd have to go pretty far back to find a champion(s) with a worse mark than that.

Assembly Hall (old habit -- I hate calling it Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall) is a pretty big building. If memory serves (I have been in Bloomington just once since graduating in 1991), it also has ticket offices and most (if not all) of the athletic offices. So in essence, it's more than just a basketball building. If they wanted to, they could do something like this: Once you pass through the doors and into the part of the building where the basketball games are played, you could be entering Bob Knight Arena at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Don't know if the Skjodt family would go for that -- or if the Knights would -- but it's just a thought ...

Nice to see Archie showing a little sense of humor ... When I was a kid, I used to chew all those flavored gums -- cherry, grape, raspberry -- but now that I'm older, those kinda gross me out. If it's not some sort of mint -- wintergreen, spearmint, peppermint -- or cinnamon, I can't even chew it.
