PU holds off Michigan State, plays Maryland at noon tomorrow. Next up: Bucky and Rutgers. Winner gets us at about 2:30 tomorrow afternoon.

Wonder where we'd be had we not let the Ohio State, Northwestern and Iowa games slip away. ... Obviously, I have not seen every game this season, but I've seen as many as I can -- but when you look back at our schedule, we have those three games that we lost and should have won. We really don't have any wins in games that we probably should have lost. Would love to think if we beat Rutgers/Wisconsin that we could give the Twerps a run, but I just don't see it happening. They crushed us in College Park and once they made up that 10-point deficit, they more or less controlled us as the game wore on in B-town.

Updated bracket. Wisconsin and Illinois won "play-in" games yesterday. Bucky plays Rutgers this afternoon with the winner playing us tomorrow afternoon.

Brian Butch, according to Wikipedia (which is never wrong!!!) is 6-11. And he was easily an inch taller than Brunk. So Butch is either 7-foot or Brunk is 6-10.

Ali and crew will play about 2:30 Friday afternoon at Bankers Life against Rutgers, Illinois or Wisconsin. We don't have a whole lot of depth, so I'm hoping the rest from the double bye proves beneficial ... Am hoping we can get past Rutgers (likely), get another shot at Maryland and take care of business this time!

I hope by "one of those nights" you mean 5 or 6 3-pointers, 3-4 assists, only 1-2 turnovers and 25-27 points. Not 1 for 7 on 3s, 6 turnovers, 0 assists and 7 points. LOL!

Damezi is stuck at the end of the bench, really struggles to perform when he's in there and by most estimations, will be gone at the end of the season via transfer. Will there be a Damezi affect with this kid? In other words, since Damezi was such a "bust," will that leave a sour taste in the Riley folks' minds when it comes to IU?

The Toiletmakers once led Iowa by 21. ... With 7 minutes left, they're still winning by 13. If we were able to get out to a 21-point lead at Iowa -- let me stress that word ''if'' -- by the 7-minute mark of the second half, we'd be down by 8 or 10.

I thought I'd bring this thread back to life to share this. So many threads lean toward the negative -- and hey, I'm as negative as anyone (well, not as negative as some on here!) -- so I thought I'd change things up with some positivity.

Three possessions in the final 1:36 of that time -- and neither team even took a shot. The only shot was a desperation heave with 1 second left. How does that happen! ... Really, really poor execution. ... Headed to OT.

I'm to the point where I just want to see us win a game. For some reason, we suck in the B1G tourney. When's the last time we won a game there! And it's usually in Indy or Chicago, where we have terrific fan bases. Last year's game still chaps my a$$ -- after a relatively mediocre regular season, with our Quad 1 wins, we had a still chance to play our way into the NCAAs with a B1G win or two. And we totally didn't show up against OSU. Well, not until the final five minutes or so. That game and this season's Toiletmakers game at home -- when RMK returned -- are the most disappointed I've been in this team during Archie's tenure. I don't even care about getting humiliated by Indiana State or Fort Wayne. The OSU tourney game and the PU game at home really, really meant something -- and we just didn't show up. Acted as if we didn't even care.

The bracket is set. As the No. 4 seed, we get a double bye. Illinois plays Wisconsin with the winner meeting Rutgers and that winner meeting us. Should we win, a semifinal matchup with Maryland looms. We got crushed in College Park, but were competitive in B-town before fading late and losing by 10 or so. They're tough. In latest rankings, we're No. 22 in the AP and No. 24 in the coaches' poll. But ESPN's bracketologist expects us to be in the final 16 for Monday night's final NCAA reveal. Oh, and South Carolina remains a solid No. 1 in both polls and should be No. 1 in the NCAA reveal. The Gamecocks have one loss. Guess who beat them???

I think there might be some confusion as to the subject of this thread. I believe the author meant it to be about the B1G men's tournament, but others are opining about the B1G women. Maybe someone should start a B1G women's tourney thread to clear up any confusion?

I agree. Why else would he commit when he did? ... I think he'll be wearing candy stripes next season.

I hope Archie says a little something about those late calls in his post-game presser. ... You don't want to sound like a whiner, but it's always good to plant a little seed in the head of refs for future games that you don't enjoy getting screwed.

Refs didn't cost us the game, but they sure didn't help. That missed foul on Al's 3-pointer and the phantom U of I possession and the TO were really, really, really egregious and costly.
