  1. He was but the guy wasn't moving -- Rob just tripped over his foot. Unfortunately, that's not a foul.
  2. So they ruled the Illinois had possession -- and give them a TO. Seriously?
  3. Damn -- more missed FTs. Killing us.
  4. Stripes are gonna look at replay and say (to themselves): "Oh sh-t. He got hit on that shot. We missed that one."
  5. We're gonna lose the game right here if we're not careful ... Can't keep wasting possessions.
  6. I think he was anticipating contact. Which is not very smart.
  7. Nice rebound putback by Ayo. Not sure there was enough contact for a foul, though.
  8. Who does Al think he is -- MJ??? LOL!
  9. Morris is right -- there was no way Race was gonna get that shot over that dude. Not very smart.
  10. Probably sour grapes here, but why is that not a T for hanging on the rim? He wasn't protecting himself. He was just showboating.
  11. Have we had "Good Devonte" for a road game yet? ... I can't recall any off-hand. ... Would be nice for a change.
  12. Jeezus, Race -- catch the ball and go to the bucket! That's an inexcusable turnover.
  13. Yeah -- and that sucks. But if you can't get it on TV, at least make it available to stream. The IU-Illinois stream was still the women's game. That can't happen.
  14. He's good at doing that -- making the move -- but he rarely finishes. ... Made that one, but he usually short-arms everything.
  15. If the B1G is gonna align itself with foxsports, they better damn well make sure their sh-t is in gear. Even the "streaming" IU-Illinois offering was Rutgers-Iowa women. GET WITH IT! We're on now, so it's fine -- but that's embarrassing for the conference.
  16. I go to foxsports.com, click on the IU-Illinois game and still get Rutgers-Iowa women -- and it's five minutes behind. Jeezus, foxsports and B1G, get the eff with it. This is asinine.
  17. Even the foxsports/B1G stream is showing the Rutgers-Iowa women.
  18. I guess they're delaying the start? ... It's not even on the internet.
  19. Looks as if getting bumped by Rutgers-Iowa women ... Better head on over to foxsports.com.
  20. Kinda interesting that King Nick was being such a whiny fusspot after Georgia poached his strength coach. Now, he's doing the same to us. As disappointing as it is, that's kinda how it works, though. The 'Bama assistant wanted to go work with his friend at Georgia. And as far as our guys -- I think anybody in their right mind would rather work with Alabama's football program than IU's. Saban needs to just shut his yapper -- it's making him look like a hypocrite.
  21. A player is stepping away from VCU. Not the coach.
  22. I'm also not necessarily a fan of shooting gurus. Reggie Miller had a very un-fundamental shot -- yet he made it work. It's about getting in the gym, getting reps and making personal adjustments to figure out how to get them to go in. Rick Mount said he had a job as a lifeguard over the summer. He must've worked near a gym, because he said on his lunch break, he'd go shoot 300 jumpers. And during his other breaks, he'd go shoot. I'm hoping our guys get this mentality -- that when you are able to, get in the gym and shoot. That's the main thing that's gonna make you better. I live in Virginia. One day a few years ago, I went to the Y. The basketball gym was empty, so I picked up a ball and started shooting. After a while, I started shooting FTs. I had just made 9 of 10, when one guy came in and -- I have no idea why -- started telling me to change the position of my feet. I repeat: I had just made 9 of 10 and without seeing that, this "expert" started telling me to change my form. I was like, "I grew up in Indiana. I know how to shoot free throws." Maybe a guru couldn't hurt, but it just seems like shooting is such a personal thing -- you have to figure out what works best for you and make your own adjustments. And the best way to do that is to get in the gym and shoot.
  23. Don't know whether it was on Archie's radio show or his pre-Purdue presser, but after the past couple of games, he said the task of getting guys to play hard and with passion weren't problems anymore. Last night, it sure seemed as if they resurfaced. I got no problem with losing to Purdue -- OK, that's not true; I ABSOLUTELY HATE losing to the Toiletmakers -- but when we're the better team, it just makes it all the more difficult to stomach. We scored 49 points and shot 15 for 59. Sheesh! That's beyond embarrassing. When I saw TJD clank a couple very early bunnies, I suspected we'd be in for a long night -- even though we did get up 9-2.
