  1. He's probably at a strip club.
  2. Chilly willy's off-the-cuff post about recruiting only in-state players got me to thinking: Who are your starting five of the best native Hoosiers to play for our program? Here's one person's list (that would be me): Steve Alford (New Castle) Calbert Cheaney (Evansville) Kent Benson (New Castle) Don Schludnt (South Bend) George McGinnis (Indianapolis) I realize this squad leaves us good down low, but lacking on the perimeter. But those are my guys and I'm sticking to them. And in all honestly, my pick of Schludnt is sort of in homage to my mom, an IU grad who knew Don in high school. Guess Alford will have to play the 1 and Calbert the 2.
  3. Crazy to think he wasn't Mr. Basketball.
  4. Sorry to see this, Brass ... Prayers to you and your family.
  5. From what I gather, Chilly willy posts very rarely -- and when he does, it seems to typically be something sorta off-the-wall. I'm taking this thread with a grain of salt ... Or maybe a few thousand grains of salt ...
  6. He essentially will be a junior age-wise, but will have freshman eligibility. He redshirted his true freshman year and played a little this past season. He comes to IU with three years of eligibility, plus one extra granted to all by the NCAA because of COVID. So although I'm not sure it will happen, we could have him for four seasons -- if he stays the entire time, he would be a sixth-year senior. And as far as I know, he can play for us in 2021 -- Michigan had him pegged as a starter next season.
  7. Welcome to B-town, big fella! Look forward to having all 6-foot-5, 320 pounds of you protecting Jack Tuttle or Mike Penix -- or both -- next season. LEO! More about him here: https://indiana.rivals.com/news/indiana-lands-michigan-ol-transfer-zach-carpenter
  8. They didn't do a very good job of practicing social distancing.
  9. Think that might have been addressed in the game thread last night. But yeah -- that's disappointing. Wonder if he has interest in coming back next season -- if healthy. He's already 23. Unless he goes overseas, I doubt he has pro basketball aspirations. Guess it depends on whether he wants to get on with his regular life -- or spend another year in college.
  10. I didn't catch the entire conversation, but I think this is what was said after the game ... ESPN interviewer: What will you tell your team about this incident? Mike Leach: To not do it again.
  11. Our QB talks about the Rebs ... Really would like to see him have had two more starts, but it is what it is ...
  12. Guess we'll see just how good we are Monday night. The Twerps are sorta to us like the Pistons were to the Bulls in the late 80s and early 90s. At some point, we gotta beat 'em.
  13. Hope I'm wrong ... Turtles 79 Hoosiers 72
  14. To be honest, I missed the first 10 minutes or so. Was finishing up work. When I started watching, Jerome missed a wide-open 3 on one possession, then soon after, his man was overplaying him to his left and so of course, he drove to his left -- right into the dude. If he's been playing well other than that, I apologize to Mr. Hunter.
  15. Glad to see Rob take that shot. He passed up a wide-open 10-footer the last time down.
  16. At least Franklin committed a stupid foul after his dumb pass.
  17. I still don't understand Jerome. He just looks lost. So disappointing.
  18. I'm down with this, too. But I'll add one ... BTHO PURDUE!!!
  19. Aren't there typically offensive and defensive MVPs for these games?
  20. CTA was No. 2 in national coach-of-the-year voting ... I demand a recount.
  21. I almost would like to see Galloway and Rob start in the backcourt. Whether it's on Archie or on himself (probably a good bit of both), I just don't have faith in Al anymore. (At one point, I thought he had the potential to make a big leap and be a really good -- not great -- B1.0 player. But it never really happened). I want to see what he can do coming off the bench. Four years later, he's still doing the same stuff that gets himself into trouble: those crazy drives where he goes to the bucket against 2-3 guys and flings it up, just hoping it'll go in -- had way, way more than my share of those. Galloway brings energy and basketball smarts -- he's still adjusting to the speed of the college game and at times, tries to make passes that aren't there, but he's not killing us.
  22. I'm fairly convinced I could post that it's a crisp, sunny, beautiful day here in Virginia and I just went on a really enjoyable walk at the park with my 10-year old hound. And LCS would respond with. "Yeah, but Archie hasn't made any progress in three-plus years. He was a bad hire." LOL!
