When the pocket collapses around Penix or Tuttle, they get crushed. When the pocket collapses around Clifford, we leave him a path as wide as a six-lane freeway to run through.

We just can't catch any breaks at PSU. Granted, tonight it might not make much of a difference -- but there was an obvious targeting on Tuttle that was missed and an obvious hold on that Clifford scramble. Two years ago, we had that phantom fumble on a punt that didn't touch our returner. And on one of PSU's touchdown runs, our guy was about to catch him from behind in the backfield when he just got flat-out tackled by the O lineman.

I wanna see a replay. Not sure who it was -- but our guy had a bead on Clifford -- and got held.

That's targeting! He launched into Tuttle and went helmet on helmet. C'mon -- where's the flag?

I'm a gamblin' man by nature. Mr. Vegas they call me. But we've had too many failed fourth downs in the opponent's territory this year. With our offense -- just too big a risk. Going forward, when there are points to be had -- we gotta take 'em.

Maybe try some funky/gadget plays. Or maybe give Tuttle a few series to see what happens. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result. This offense clearly isn't working. Something needs to be done to shake it up.

When you run on 4th and 2 from that formation, you're basically asking your back to get you 5-plus yards. Either come up with a better play call -- or take the 3 points.

Yeah -- that was weird. Not only did they not show a decent replay, but the official stood and watched Mullen tip it out -- and about 5 seconds later, he signaled for a touchback.

BTW, South Alabama is 3-0 -- with a win over Bowling Green (who beat Minny today). That's where our DC (Kane Wommack) went.
