I was poking around on Peegs and someone posted they heard through a back channel that both injuries were minor and not long term. The poster went on to say he was told that MR could probably come back in later in the second half but was told to stay off the foot for precautions. It's not my info, I just repeated what was heard/posted on a Peegs thread just now.

Coach Cignetti's year round approach.....lol

I thought I read somewhere that Coach May currently has an "out" clause ONLY for IU, in his current contract with FAC....if they offer. Any truth to that?

I respectfully disagree Chris...... I can't image Coach is ANYWAY "peddling" or complacent with his coaching.

Agree, Woodson won't be fired, ......he will leave/retire before it gets too hot. He originally signed a deal for six years and said he was hoping to coach till he was 75. He's definitely not the kind of guy to wear out his welcome.

.....he also has a new grandchild too. I'm not sure if it is his first or not. I'm a grandfather of 3, two girls and a boy. Both girls are the oldest at 2. I will soon be 55 and those grandbabies are my wife and I's world! I stopped coaching HS softball because I didn't want to miss out on them growing up. JMO

I definitely did not sleep well. I tossed and turned all night. I'm a HS teacher in southern Indiana and we got our second 2 hour delay in a row. You would think I could have used the extra hour or so, but I just could get that awful game out of my mind.

It will be a tough night to sleep on this game. Even tougher waiting the rest of the week for a game @ Wisky, that we will most like not win either. Sad times right now.

Leal definitely deserves more minutes, unfortunately, IMO, his defense, speed and footwork are his Achilles heal. He knows the game, sees the court and can shoot fairly well from the 3 (mainly when it's created for him). However, he needs to be good on both sides of the ball get larger chunks of minutes. At this point, why not give him a few more minutes?

I was just reading an article on ESPN about UCLA getting beat by 46 pts. to Utah. UCLA has now lost 8 of 9 games and appear to be in some sort of a tail spin. Mick Cronin's roster has a some NBA talent, but he gave an interesting take on the current state of his team. "I think guys got punch-drunk," Cronin said after the loss. "They're good kids. We don't have bad kids, trust me. They listen. They're embarrassed, but that doesn't help. I was concerned with this. They're punch-drunk and you've got to fight your way out of it. I've been there before. It's been a while, but I've been there before." This sort of reminded of me of our team a little after a few of our disappointing losses. I've often wondered if this carries over? We play gun shy and a little nervous. JMO.

I hated seeing Penix so uncomfortable in he pocket last night. It brought back bad memories when IU's O-line couldn't keep him safe. I was surprised he didn't scramble and use his feet more.
