It will be interesting reading the responses of current IU players about this hire. How many will now jump into the portal, decide to stay or withdraw and want to come back (if Coach Cignetti wants them back)...??

For what it's worth....the Michigan fans are all very disappointed in losing Hart, that is, if IU hires him.....

Several posters on the Michigan board seem to think Hart is gone and will be at IU.....

He has an incredibly, elite level football IQ. I am ok with IU giving him a second chance. I’m very interested in this smoke….

….I’m gonna look on the brighter side. I honestly don’t think Dolson wants or plans to go middle of the road a lateral hire. This is totally my opinion…. He feels the heat as well as Indiana University. We can’t continue to lose money in football ticket sales if we continue to lose games. Yes, I IU football has been less than desirable for not only top players, but coaches alike. I really think we will see a lot more money thrown around with this new hire and his staff. JMO

Honestly, these are exciting times! I know our coach was fired and the transfer portal is filling up with IU players, but a new era is afoot. IMO, Dolson and the boosters are really going to try make a statement hire.

….or with this new hire, they are not only looking to pay a higher competitive HC salary, but also making sure his assistant coaches are paid well enough to want to stay long term….

JMO, but I would guess they started putting their feelers out right after the Michigan St loss.
