I understand that. I would just rather see the mentality that we should continue to develop the person instead of dumping him because our program is "too high of moral ground" to keep someone...even if they continue to make mistakes. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app

You can have integrity in a program or organization while still working with troubled youth. You don't have to run a program and only give spots to prototypical choir boys... Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app

IUBB Players in the Portal/Draft Exploratory Status
HoosierInParadise replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I agree with this but he needs to announce a "Top 2" with Ball State and Purdue, have an announcement day on ESPN, and then choose Ball State over PU. Would be awesome.... Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -
Next assistant coach

I'm not sure how the way the statement was written makes the way it was handled classless. I thought the statement that was made was just fine to explain the change without giving too much detail. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -
Big Ten basketball is a mess
HoosierInParadise replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
More to this point...after quickly scrolling through the 247 Composite rankings for the 2022, 2021, and 2020 classes, the B10 had 37, 35, and 32 respectively in those classes out of the top......wait for it......300 of each class. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -
Big Ten basketball is a mess
HoosierInParadise replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think it all just comes down to the talent in the B10 is just not as good as other conferences. Our style of play may lead other schools recruiting against the B10 as a whole where they are able to convince them that it does not translate to the next level or in the tournament. Top talent doesn't come to the B10. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -
2022 NCAA Tournament / Bracket Reveal
HoosierInParadise replied to BlueDevil's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It would be incredible if Saint Peter's can continue their magic and knock off UNC, Duke, and then Kansas to win the title. All after beating Kentucky and Purdue. I mean wow! Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -
Big Ten basketball is a mess
HoosierInParadise replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
We got beat by a 5 seed....with their "best team" Purdue gets beat by a 15 seed and officially accomplished nothing this season. No Big Ten regular season championship, no Big Ten tournament championship, and no final four appearance...wow Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -
Brian Walsh Assistant Coach to O$U

Maybe Ya stayed BECAUSE Fife didn't stay? I have no clue....just thought I would add another thought amongst the collection. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Which assistant landed Cupps? Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -
I agree....also, some people interview really well, have the credentials, appear humble in the interview, and then just don't pan out when it comes to real world fit. Happens all the time. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app

I get what you are saying but as soon as another assistant is hired it will all be in the past and people will move on from it. Especially if it's someone that will bring instant recruiting clout. I've honestly never seen an assistant leaving a program bring such a polarizing reaction from a fan base. But like I said in my last post, I love the soap opera that continues to unfold...fun stuff! No one likes the soap opera more than Indiana fans....including me!![emoji846] I appreciate this board with everyone bringing in everything they may know about every situation. I am very unconnected to the program and appreciate the entertainment that is provided from both true and false stories/information! Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app

With all the stuff he reportedly did, this is the quickest trigger we've seen from IU with regard to keeping coaches. Are we moving in the right direction on getting rid of people that aren't working out? Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app

I wish I could like this 1 million times. But I would that what will be a 22 year drought of the champion not coming from the Big Ten is pretty eye opening as well.... Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app

HoosierInParadise replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I don't want PU to experience any success out of this team that was so highly regarded at the beginning of the season....I hope MSU beats them today and we go farther in the NCAA tournament than they do. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Seems like we are legitimately playing like we are trying to prove that we are a good basketball team. Better late than never! Iowa is a bad match up for us with their 3 point shooting but I think we shut them down today to continue our momentum. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -

I don't think any team in the conference makes it past the S16. Big Ten teams aren't able to play tourny ball when we push and shove their way through games. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -

I would say the senseless foul by PS on SS's 3 when we had momentum was probably the worst play of the game. We had them scrambling at that point... Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app -

The only way to make up for another team spoiling our senior night is to go out an spoil someone else's. Seriously, would love to see this be the first game in 6 seasons that we put 40 min together...it's gotta happen at some point. Why not now? Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app
